Harry, Ron and Hermione strived in Slytherin. They worked well together and were all ambitious. Many had gotten over the fact that they were in Slytherin. Dumbledore trusted Harry. In the first year, Harry stopped Quirrel and Voldemort from getting the philosophers stone with the help of Ron and Hermione. In the second year, the trio worked hard to expose Gilderoy Lockart. After taking him down into the chamber of secrets, he spotted the diary. He had an idea that the object was very dark magic but could not think of what the name of the term was. Hermione had been petrified and Ron was instructed by Harry to run off wth Ginny. Whilst he attended to her injuries, Harry fought Tom Riddle and Fawkes helped to blind the basilisk. Hardy destroyed the diary and prevented Voldemort from returning to power. Harry showed the diary to Dumbledore and the trio then investigated what dark magic the diary was. In the third year, they were all fretting over Sirius Black and who he really was. At the end of the year, they realised who Black really was. In the fourth year, Harry had to compete in the tri-wizard tournament. He rushed to the cup, leaving Cedric behind. The cup was a Portkey and took Harry to a graveyard where he had visions of Voldemort. Pettigrew helped Voldemort return and called the death eaters. Somehow, Harry got back to the Portkey and escaped. When he got back, he realised that some of the he death eaters were there at voldemorts return whilst the others attacked Hogwarts. They had pressumed that Voldemort would have killed Harry. The death eaters had killed Dumbledore. The trio are now in their fifth year year and are close to discovering how to eliminate Voldemort. Dark times are ahead of them.
