Harry hurled himself and Voldemort off the tower. Dark smoke flew behind them as they hurtled towards the courtyard of Hogwarts. Harry was screaming as Voldemort screeched.
They finally landed onto the floor,  dropping their wands.
Still on the floor, they crawled to reach for their wands.
At that moment, Voldemort cast "Avada Kedavra!" whilst Harry cast "Explelliarmus!"
The burst of green light collided with red.
Both enemies held onto their wands.
Voldemort's green light was closer to Harry.
Harry would not be able to kill him if Ron or Hermione didn't kill the snake.
Was this going to be the end for Harry?

---------------------

Ron and Hermione were caught off guard. They began to run. The snake had found its way to them.
Neither of them had the sword to kill it with.
Ron and Hermione held onto each other but they stumbled over a stray piece of rock and fell. The snake got closer. It opened its jaws, preparing for the kill. Ron cast a few curses onto the snake but they didn't affect Nagini.
They were going to die.
Just then, Ginny came up behind them, she had the sword in her hand and bought it down, slaying off the snakes head.
Dark smoke exploded from the snake.  Through the smoke you could see Voldemort hissing.

-----------------------
The green and red light suddenly stopped. Both of their spells had  disconnected.
Harry could hear a slight moaning in the wind.
Voldemort looked wounded.
For a moment they both stared at each other in confusion but Harry then sniggered.
He realised that the snake must have been killed.
He and Voldemort then both cast their spells.
"Expelliarmus!"Harry cried.
Their spells once again interlocked, yet this time, Harry's jet of red light had gone further than Voldemort's green light and it hit him.
Voldemort's wand flew out of his hand across the courtyard and Harry caught it triumphantly.
He had won.
Voldemort dropped to the floor. Bits of him began to break away and floated off into the wind. There was a moaning in the wind.
All that was left of him then was a huge pile of black ash and remaining bits of Voldemort which then exploded and flew off into the wind as well.
Harry sighed in relief.
It was all over.

Harry walked into the main hall where the dead lay and the survivors sat.
Harry embraced Ron and Hermione.
Everyone was smiling weakly.
They began to talk.
"Snape gave you the Sorting hat?" Harry gasped.
Ron and Hermione nodded.
"Oh wait!" Hermione gasped.
"Snape left a note for you." Hermione said.
"Well done Ginny!" Harry beamed at Ginny who was sitting down near them.
"Brilliant, she was. She destroyed the snake. She saved our lives." Ron applauded.
Ginny blushed.
"But I thought Snape was dead." Harry said.
"Voldemort said that the snake had killed him." Harry continued.
"Clearly he wasn't dead." Said Hermione, shoving the letter into Harry's hands.

Mr Potter

I am sorry that I am unable to be here at this moment. Take this to the pensieve and you will understand.
I am sure we will meet again, someday.
Snape.

Hermione handed Harry a flask with a memory inside it.
Harry seemed slightly confused.
Snape had killed Dumbledore though. He was evil.
Nevertheless, Harry still travelled to the pensieve in Dumbledores office.
He took a deep breath, put the memory inside and submerged himself into snapes memories.
The first memory showed the night Lily Potter was killed and Snape was there, crying over her corpse.
And then it showed Snape taking the side of Dumbledore and leaving the death eaters. Next it showed Snape and lily who used to be friends when they were younger.
Yet the next scene was more serious.
It was a conversation between Snape and Dumbledore.
"We both know what this means Severus. The dark marks burning, the Attack at the Qudditch word cup. Harry is also having visions more violent than the previous one day by day. Voldemort will return very soon and one should pressumed that when he returns, he will send the death eaters to Hogwarts to kill me and maybe even Harry. But you must gain Lord Voldemorts trust severus. You must be the one to kill me. It is the only way." Dumbledore explained.
Snape was refusing, looking shocked.
"Once you kill me, Voldemort will take the Elder wand from my body. But soon, he will realise that the Elder wand can only truly show it's Allegience to the person who killed its last owner. Because Voldemort didn't kill me, he will want to kill you so the Elder wand can truly be his.
However, what Voldemort would not know is that I would not use the Elder wand. I will use a replica that looks a lot like the Elder wand for a whole year so I can be prepared for the day that the death eaters will come. I want you, severus, to take the real Elder wand and to hide it. The wand that I am using will never be able to be Allegient to Voldemort.  So it can be easy for Harry Potter to defeat him when the time comes. You know the spell Severus. I want you to hide the wand in the Sorting hat. To get it back out again, you must say to it 'Relecius!"
When you think that Voldemort is coming to kill you, you must drink an anti-death potion. It will only last for a while so be careful.
I have broken my bond of myself with the Elder wand so that one day, if it is found, the person who finds it will have the wand for themselves. You must tell Potter about this severus, when the time is right.
Once you do all that you have to do, you must leave Hogwarts. It will no longer be safe for you. You will be doing us all a great deal of good Severus, if you can complete your task." Dumbledore finished.
Severus sighed and they both faded away as the memories finished.
Harry rose from the pensieve.
He was shocked.
Snape was good.
Dumbledore had planned this. They wanted to help him.
Snape loved Harry's mother.
All of these thoughts whirled around his head. Harry was stunned.
He needed to get the real Elder wand.
Just then, Ginny walked in, the Sorting hat in her hand.
She looked startled when she saw Harry.
"I was just putting the hat back." She explained.
"Perfect timing." Harry laughed.
Harry placed the hat on the desk.
"Relecius!" He commanded.
The hat mumbled a few things and then Harry put his hand inside, pulling the real Elder wand out.
Harry briefly explained the details to Ginny. They met up with Ron and Hermione outside.
Ginny went off to talk to someone else, leaving the trio alone.
They talked and laughed together, Harry explained what he saw in the pensieve. Finally they could be in peace. Voldemort was gone.
"So what are we gonna do with that." Ron asked.
"I mean, that's the real Elder wand." He said, slightly impressed.
"Hmmmm." Harry thought.
"I think I'll keep it." Harry chuckled.
The trio laughed.
Hermione looked a bit sick.
"I'm gonna do good with the wand." Harry assured Hermione, laughing.
They all sighed with relief.
The trio then looked out over the broken Hogwarts and the beautiful lake and mountains.
