That night, the trio met up in the library to finalise their plan. It was too risky in the dormitories where another Slytherin might hear them.
"That was a close one today from McGonagall." sighed Ron.
Harry and Hermione agreed.
"So how are we going to get these horcruxes?" Ron enquired.
"Well Harry already got the locket from Dumbledore and the ring and Diary are already destroyed so that leaves The Hufflepuff cup and the Diadem. Not to mention we need to get the sword as well from the hat to destroy the horcruxes." Hermione finished.
"The sword destroys them?" Ron asked.
"Yes Ron, I told you before that after Harry destroyed the Horcrux in the chamber of secrets with the basilisk fang and he killed the basilisk with the sword, because the sword is goblin made, it takes in dirt and rust Which only makes it stronger so it can destroy horcruxes."
"That's why a few days ago McGonagall read us the will of Dumbledore and that's why he gave us the sword." Harry said
"But the sword is missing." Ron frowned.
"I'm hoping that if we get a worthy Gryffindor, they may be able to get the sword out of the hat." Harry finished.
Suddenly, the trio heard a rustling from the nearby bookshelf. An unfamiliar owl perched on top of the bookshelf.
"How did that ruddy owl get here from the Owlery?" Ron thought aloud.
The trio ignored this and continued.
"The other day I found this book from the restricted section about an allegiance charm. So if we want to take over Hogwarts we need it to kind of agree to us. For example, "An allegiance charm can be placed on a significant object to put it under your control and anyone that comes into contact with the object will become faithful to the person/people that produce the spell. Blood sacrifice must be made.' Hermione finished. "It's quite a complex spell but if we each give a small sacrifice of blood then I can do it."
"But what will we use the charm for?"
Ron asked.
"The Allegience charm is actually quite similar in ways to the imperius curse. So we can put the curse on the Sorting hat so it can easily let us get the Diadem and the Cup without it arguing. So then anyone that will come in contact with the hat will be faithful to us whether they want to or not. When the first years have the hat placed on their head they will obey our commands and will fight for us. Students around the hat will also be under the spell and that means the rest of the students and teachers will have to tag along with us. We can then destroy the horcruxes and be ready to fight the death eaters when they will arrive." Hermione concluded, out of breath.
"Brilliant." Harry applauded.
"Mmm, I'm having second thoughts about this, after all, this is quite dark magic." Hermione nervously muttered.
"Don't be daft." Harry and Ron said to Hermione in unison.
"But who will we get to pull out the Diadem and the cup?" Ron asked, puzzled.
" I think we should get Luna to pull out the Diadem. She seems to be a 'worthy Ravenclaw'". Hermione suggested.
"We can get Hannah Abott for Hufflepuff." Ron announced.
"Great.  Tomorrow afternoon, me and Ron will get Luna and Hannah meanwhile you, Hermione need to go to Dumbledores office to check that McGonagall or anyone else isn't there. We'll meet you there and tomorrow morning, Ron and I will give you the sample of blood and make sure you have everything prepared for the spell. " Harry finished.
"That's settled then." Ron cheered.
The trio were exhausted, they walked out of the library cautiously. Ron scowled at the strange owl before he left.
"Ruddy owls are out of control these days." Ron muttered before stepping out the library with the others.
