CHAPTER 5
When the defenders were created they were woken up knowing one rule. Never harm humans. For a while they all followed this rule, but eventually some took the lives of humans and developed a taste for human blood. Those who turned against humans lost their human features and became terrifying, disfigured creatures who cause chaos amongst humans in order to get access to blood they desire without revealing themselves. The more human blood they ingest the more control they gain over their appearance and can eventually learn to morph between their human-like and nightmarish forms. These creatures were deemed Antifenders, the exact opposite of the defenders.
