School started, sorry for not updating there has been a lot going on
After the movie ended, we decided to go back to Brick's house. Our plan was to just hang out since my house was not a good idea, and if we hung out anywhere else, people would start talking.
"Mom! I'm home!" I hear Brick say when we walk inside his house.
"In the kitchen!" I hear his mom reply. He starts walking in that direction and I follow behind him.
"We're gonna be upstairs, if Mag stops by can you tell her I'm not home," He says. Mrs. Armstrong smiles and nods. Then looks over at him.
"Eliza, so nice to see you again," She smiles.
"You too," I smile.
"I hope you two aren't doing anything-" Brick cuts his mom off.
"Mom!" He says. She puts her hands up in defense.
"I don't know, you and Patty were doing some stuff I never approved of," She says. "Keep this one in his place," Coralee winks at me.
"Bye!" Brick says gabbing my hand and pulling me towards the stairs. I laugh at his reaction to his mom and he looks at me. "How is that funny? She is totally embarrassing,"
"She's just looking out for you," I laugh. "It's cute,"
"What is cute?" He asks opening the door to his room.
"How red you get. And how you get all shy and annoyed," I tease. He rolls his eyes and his cheeks get a little more red again. I start laughing and he playfully pushes me.
"I am not cute," He says.
"Then what are you?"
"Hot," He winks. I laugh and shake my head. "Did you tell Magnolia about us- I mean that we like- you know- not us, but like-"
"No, She was talking to me about how she wanted to get back with you. So I didn't tell her about my huge crush on you or about us going on a date," I say cutting him off.
"Huge crush on me?" He questions.
"Not the point," Brick starts laughing and I shake my head and laugh a little.
"Cool, so it's a secret," He smiles. "Now, are you ready to watch me win?"
"Win in what?" I ask him. He grabs a controller from under his pillow and turns his TV on. "Don't say i-"
"Fortnite!"
I face palm myself and he laughs. He sits back on his bed and taps the place next to me for me to sit.
"I don't get this game, it is so dumb," I laugh,
"Are you kidding me? This game makes the world a better place," He says. "You just don't know the beauty of it,"
"Beauty of a video game?" I laugh .
"Ok, I teach you how to play and if you like it, you have to kiss me," He says.
"And if it is overrated and dumb like I think it is, I get to go home," I laugh.
"Fair enough," Brick puts his hand out for me to shake and I sigh shaking it. I am totally going to pretend to like this stupid game.
Brick shows me all the controls on the controller and then plays one match explaining to me what to do and how to play. After about five games, I finally kind of understood how to play.
It still seems pretty dumb, but if I get to kiss Brick Armstrong, this is the best game in the entire world. I take the controller from him and play a few rounds. I didn't get passed twentieth place either times, but 'I loved it'
"So?" Brick says.
"You were so right," I lie smiling.
He smiles and starts leaning in. I lean in as well and his lips brush against mine.
"You still hate the game," He whispers kissing me. I kiss back and laugh.
"Maybe," I respond. We kiss again and I hear the door open.
"Brick!" I hear a female voice scream. "I said don't do anything!"
"Mom!" He scream back. I lean back on the headboard of the bed and laugh at his reaction.
"No! This will not be happening, especially if I am home!" Coralee says.
"It was just a kiss!" Brick argues.
"Mhm, I saw that tongue and where your hands were," She says. "Now look, I am happy you like a nice girl who is also your age, but you can wait until you go to college or when you are married!"
"Mom!" Brick says getting embarrassed.
"You tell him Ms. Armstrong," I laugh. Brick elbows me, making me laugh even harder.
"Eliza, Brick, downstairs. Dinner is ready and I am not leaving this room until you two do," She says. I notice a small smile form on her lips and Brick and I laugh a little. We get up and walk downstairs with his mom following us.
Brick holds my hand and his mom steps between us.
"Not now," She says laughing a little. We both laugh more and when we get to the kitchen, we sit down at the table while Coralee pours dinner for us.
