E.V.A.

Nice.

A word I'm using to describe my life at this moment.

Even with Calvin popping up every now and then. He would make a false claim and people would believe it for two seconds then would be on to the next thing.

Romeo and I have been dating for a little over a month now, yet every time I look at him I feel like it's the first time.

He glances up at me and smiles then continues writing down ideas.

"Eve," I hear Blair call out.

I turn around spotting her and Natalia strutting up to me. "Yes?"

"You're making cupcakes for the event, right? I just need the whole menu planned and ready for the board."

I nod, turning back to my group. "Yes."

"Try to make them taste good," Natalia adds, walking off with Blair in tow.

"Try to make them taste good," Watson imitates. "Shut the fuck up."

Romeo rolls his eyes, never taking them off his notebook.

Alex groans, rubbing between her eyes. "OK, so who is coming tomorrow? I know my parents are."

I sigh. "Mine aren't, one of the guys that works with us at Graceful Cakes, tried to hurt himself."

"Oh my God," Malcolm says.

I nod, hating myself for not seeing the signs. I worked with him all summer and he seemed fine. I guess they all do.

I shake the thoughts away. "My parents want you guys to know that they totally support LGBTQ rights, it's just a lot of stress at home. They are dealing with that and paying for all his medical bills, but they still donated a quarter mill. My sister is coming with her girlfriend, though!"

"Yay!" Watson exclaims.

"When will you realize that she doesn't want you?" Romeo asks, shaking his head with a smile.

"When you realize those pants don't look good with that sweater," Watson retorts, throwing a pencil at him.

Romeo flips hims off. "My family will be there."

Malcolm and Alex cuddle up next to each other, checking off their own names in silence. "What about you two dickweeds?"

"Mi familia will be there," Zach says, bowing.

"I don't know. I forgot to ask."

Romeo face-palms. "This has literally been a month in the making. Do you even have a Halloween costume for tomorrow?"

Watson shrugs. "Duh, do you even know my mom?"

Romeo sits up, startling the group. "About your mom! Can she meet Evie?"

I look at him, brows raised. "What?"

"I know you picked out a dress already but I also know its not the original you wanted. His mom can get you that dress and some really nice acc-"

"My mom would die to meet her!" Watson says, pulling out his phone.

He puts it on speaker and a click sounds. "Yes, Watson."

"Hi mommy!"

Alex coughs out a laugh.

"Hi honey," She greets, as if talking to a four year old.

"Eva needs a dress!"

"Wat-" I start to protest.

It's not that I don't want a dress, I just don't want to intrude. I have my own stylist, my sister, and I don't even use her.
