E.V.A.

8 Years Later

"So, Natalia, tell us what inspired you to write the story?"

Natalia smiles, shrugging. "I just felt that it needed to be told. So many people only saw one side of the story and not the whole picture."

The camera focuses on me and Romeo as Claudia turns to us. "Eva, after hearing that, how does it make you feel knowing Natalia was behind most of the drama at Washington Academy?"

I clear my throat, checking the time on the wall. Dad can only contain Nikolai for so long.

"I feel Natalia was just grieving in a very toxic way. She had this girl poisoning her mind with thoughts of her only brother left leaving her for good. Natalia has proven herself to me and my family many times. My friends love her and I'm happy that she wrote the story because now people see what really went on."

She nods. "And how are your friends? We know that, unfortunately, Alexandria and Malcolm ended things soon after Blair's death. How are they?"

I nod, licking my lips. "Yeah, Alex and Malcolm didn't last very long. It was upsetting because you could tell they liked each other but I think other things got in the way. I can't speak on certain personal aspects, but I can tell you they're OK."

She nods, glancing at the clock. "Well guys, thank you for coming in. Romeo, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to talk much."

He smiles, shaking her hand as he stands. "No problem."

Natalia wraps her arm around my shoulders as we walk from the set. "You guys did great. I know you want to get home to Nik, so thank you."

"No problem, Nat. I know this meant a lot to you."

Romeo talks into his phone as we hop in our car. Natalia gestures for me to roll down the window as Romeo starts the car.

"What time is the party, again?"

I smirk. "Two thirty. Be on time this time."

She smiles, walking away, shouting goodbyes.

Romeo hangs up his phone. "Nikolai bit Milo."

I groan, shaking my head. "When will this phase be over?"

Romeo chuckles. "I went through this until I was five and was forced to go to school."

I shake my head with a smile. "Great."

Romeo speeds off in the direction of our home, the radio whispering in the background.

"-dria Radcliffe."

My eyes lift from my phone. "Turn that up, cupcake."

He turns up the radio as her name is said again.

"Alexandria Radcliffe is in the building, everyone."

"Hi," She laughs.

"You just dropped your new album 'Unrequited' featuring Romeo Emerson. What inspired that album? It's already number one on the billboard charts and I've got to admit, me and my wife listen to it on repeat."

"Aww, thank you so much! What really inspired it was, literally, just a lot of unrequited love. Ive been through that for so long and I feel like I've unfortunately left many people feeling like their love was unrequited. I'm not that type of person and I never mean to lead people on. It happens to the best of us, but I wrote this whole album in a month with Romeo's help. I was in a dark place."

I sigh.

"So, I'm not the type to be fake and lie for attention. Everyone knows my ex from a long time ago, got married three months ago. When we broke up, I felt like we were gonna be back together eventually. I felt nothing could stop us, but it's been eight fucking years and we barely speak. I just wish I didn't fuck it up, lusting after a guy that would never want me. But I did and now I'm facing the consequences."
