Blair taps the microphone with a smile. "Welcome to the annual LGTBQ pride event!"
The crowd claps and cheers, throwing balloons in the air.
I stand to the side of the stage, waiting to announced.
Blair pulls out a sheet of paper and frowns. She looks to me and raises a brow.
"Read it," I whisper.
I want everyone to know Evie wrote this, not me.
"Romeo Emerson will be performing an original song, written himself! Everyone give a big round of applause for Romeo!" She cheers along with the crowd.
Is she serious?
I narrow my eyes at her as I walk on stage.
She smiles at me, shutting the microphone off. "I cant announce that. She tainted the image of this school. No one will donate."
She pats my shoulder, cutting the it back on, and walks off.
I clear my throat, grasping the stand. "This song is actually written by my beautiful girlfriend, Evangeline."
I gaze over to Evie, her eyes wide, hands over her heart. I smile at her as Alex shakes her shoulders with a grin.
The music starts and I read what my heart wrote.
Baby, I love your storms
I'm showering 'til dawn
Downpour, downpour - I feel just like a downpour
I miss your windsBaby, I love your flurries
Miss your winds
I've got new whirlwinds
And now your rinsing is on repeatI press my eyes shut, the words flowing out of me with ease.
Baby, I love your storms
Ideal, ideal girl
You're always drizzling when you lie
Now I can't find the surprise without you
It's time we had some snowflakesBeautiful
Beautiful
BeautifulBaby, I love your storms
Beautiful
As the song comes to an end, my eyes flutter open in search for Evie. She stands alone, staring into my eyes, a smile on her face.
She takes a step forward, coming to me.
I take many steps forward, going to her.
The cheering crowd parts as I walk down the stairs.
I stop in front of her, captivated by her beauty.
Her hands slide up to my neck as she pulls me down with a kiss. I breathe into her, my hands sliding around her waist.
She pulls back, shaking her head. "What did I do to deserve you? You're so good to me, cupcake."
I chuckle, her head resting against my chest. "You wrote it."
"For Blair."
"It suits you more," I say, placing a kiss on her temple.
"I call being Godfather of their first child!" I hear Zach yell.
We turn in the direction of his voice, laughing at the sight.
Watson scoffs. "Obviously, I'm going to be Godfather. You couldn't even take care of a fake baby."
Alex shakes her head, leaning against Malcolm. "Are you guys serious?"
