"Umm because" Gerard sent hit on the text before he could even comprehend how easy it would have been to have lied to Frank. He was on the phone so he wouldn't know if they were lying. Gerard didn't think of that until after and they didn't know what to do now. For some reason "Because it's you Frankie, I'm hopelessly in love with you" was something they were not ready to send, wonder why?
They spent a few minutes before they just typed the things that came to their head.

Gerard knew something was wrong. It was the way Frank was typing. He wasn't typing with X's and he didn't seem cheery. They got the sudden urge they had just fucked everything up. They didn't know what to say but they knew they had to do something, fast.

Gerard's hand shook as they typed out the paragraph. Their anxiety was kicking in and they were borderline about to have a full blown panic attack but it had never felt more crucial to get emotions into a text than in that moment. They shivered and hit send. There's no going back from here.
