MADDIES POV
I wasn't sure WHAT I was feeling. Was I feeling sad, or angry? Maybe a little bit of both? All I knew was that I wouldn't be able to face Abby. The only problem with that is, that I have to go to dance. If I don't...I don't know. It just wouldn't end up well if I didn't go. So I went.
I was in the common room, sitting with Mackenzie in a corner. Mom had an appointment, so Kenzie and I had to go to dance early, and she wouldn't be able to watch. It's not like I even wanted to be here, anyway. Mom forced me to. This is how our conversation went;
"Maddie! Time for dance!"
"No! I'm not feeling good right now!" I lied.
"Madison! You know that you can't miss class. Abby will freak out."
"Moooom!" I whined, "I seriously don't feel well!"
"Madison Nicole Ziegler! Get down her right now!"
I groaned, loud enough so she could hear me. "Fine!" I yelled.
So I ended up getting in the car with Kenzie and mom and we were off.
So now here I am, waiting to see everyone. I sighed and picked up my phone, sticking the earphones in my ears. I clicked the home button and typed in my pass code, clicked on Music, started playing Work by Iggy Azalea (clean version,) and waited.
After about 10 minutes, Chloe walked in. She put down her dance bag and sat near me.
"Hi, Maddie."
I smiled weakly, then took one earphone out. "Hey."
Chloe looked down at her feet. "So...um....are you doing okay?"
I shook my head. "Not really. What about you?"
She looked up and sighed. "Same."
I hoped that Chloe didn't hurt Kendall. I never saw her do anything, but you never know. She could have behind my back...
"What about you, Kenzie?" Asked Chloe.
Mackenzie looked up from her phone and sighed. "Not the best."
Chloe bit her lip. There was a comfortable silence between the three of us. That silence was finally broken, when Nia, Paige, and Brooke walked into the room.
"Hey, guys." Nia said.
I waved slightly, not knowing wether to trust Nia or not. She was one of the sweetest people on the team, but you never know.
Paige looked like she was about to say something, but then Abby walked into the common room and told us to meet her in studio A.
*Speed Ahead*
"Girls! Time for pyramid!" Abby said in her raspy, booming voice.
I was standing in between Kenzie and Chloe, with the other girls.
Here's how pyramid went:
Chloe
Maddie Paige
Nia Mackenzie Brooke
Everyone clapped for Chloe. I was happy for her.
"Chloe, Maddie, and Paige have solos. You three will also be in a trio. The group dance is called Broadway, and each of you will have a featured part." Abby explained to us.
I looked at Chloe and smiled, and Paige looked over at the both of us and grinned.
During all of dance, I couldn't even look at Abby. I was just so...so...angry at her. I didn't even speak to her, I just occasionally nodded my head.
After my hell day at dance was finally over, Abby confronted me. "Maddie, wait."
I turned around, but didn't look her in the eye.
"Maddie, you aren't yourself today. What has gotten into you? Besides Kendall of course..." Abby trailed off.
I glared at Abby. "I'm fine." Then I stomped off.
I hope this wasn't too short of an update! I don't really like this chapter that much but oh well. Next chapter will be another reason, not a filler chapter. I promise 😋
