MADDIES POV

Now your probably wondering, why would you do what Zara told you to do? Well, it's because if I didn't, she would tell everyone what happened with Jason Larwood. Yep, the biggest idiotic jerk in school. Besides Zara, of course.
Even if you were a close friend of mine, you would not know what happened between me and him. Zara is the only other person who knows, because she saw it all happen.

So there you have it. Zara is reason #2 on my list. Oh, your wondering what happened after that one day of detention when I didn't speak to Ryan? I'll tell you. He gave up on me as the days went by, me not speaking or looking at him and all. Zara never dated him, so her plan backfired. But she still made my life miserable. Even more so, now that her plan failed. She called me names, teased me, and even cyber bulled me. Thanks for nothing, Zara.

I put the notebook softly on the bed. It felt like I had to be gentle to the secrets Kendall hid inside for so long. How had I never noticed Zara before? How had I not noticed ANY of this before? How could I have been so stupid? I couldn't believe myself. Why hadn't Kendall told me? I could have helped her! Maybe she would still be here if I had noticed...

My thoughts slowed to a stop as my eyes started to droop. I let my head fall back onto the pillow, and I drifted into a troubled sleep.

••••••••

That night I had a dream. It was a more like a nightmare from hell. In the dream, I was in my room, practicing some sort of dance move I couldn't remember. Then, Kendall appeared in my room suddenly, with tears streaming down her face. I asked her what was wrong, and she answered with the short response: everything. Then she disappeared, and the dream ended.

I woke up to my celling, the room slightly dark. It was probably close to sunrise, but I wasn't sure. I turned my head to look at the clock, and it read 6:30. This wasn't normal for me to wake up so early on a weekend. That's when I remember, it was Saturday. I had no dance today, because Abby had an important interview and was apparently happy enough to let us all off the hook for once in a life time. I sighed and slowly drifted back to sleep.

•••••••••

I woke up again, this time a little more calm. I drew in a deep breath and rubbed my blood-shot eyes. The delicious smell of bacon wafted through my nose, so I immediately checked the clock to see the time. It read 11:02. I threw off the covers and let my feet fall to the floor. There was a faint thud, and in the corner of my eye I saw Kendall's notebook. The sudden force of the covers had caused it to fall onto the floor. All thoughts of last night started to slowly drift back into my head. A piece of hair fell in front of my face, and I pushed the brown lock behind my ear.

•••••••••

Once breakfast was eaten and I had gotten dressed, brushed my hair and teeth, and put on the tiniest bit of makeup, Mom, Mackenzie and I all piled into the car to go to the mall. I didn't need anything, but Mackenzie had grown out of her flats and wanted more.

The first store we stopped at was Macy's. Mom wanted a new scarf, and she dragged Kenzie and me along.

I sighed and pulled out my phone. Scrolling through my twitter, I noticed that Zara was at the mall with her posse.

"Great," I muttered. I rolled my eyes and shut off my phone after mom said, "Alright, nothing good here. Let's go."

"Finally," I heard Kenzie sigh.

•••••••••

We walked out of the store and into the large, crowded mall. It WAS Saturday after all, a common day for girls my age to go to the mall with friends. I bet I'll run into kids from school, I thought.

And suddenly, just like she read my mind, Zara's perfectly straightened bright red hair came into my view. I panicked and frantically grabbed Kenzie's hand and ran into the nearest store. Of course it had to be the dreaded, pink and sparkly Justice.

Kenzie pulled away and folded her arms. "What was that for?" She sounded annoyed.

I sighed and told her that I had saw someone from school I was avoiding. She looked at me like I was crazy, then turned around, flipping her hair as she did. "Well, I'm going back to Mom. Do whatever you want."

I watched her skip out of the store, her skirt bouncing from side to side as she went. A store clerk, wearing a denim vest with cheap gems sewn onto the pocket, caught my attention by tapping my shoulder.

"Anything you're looking for?" She politely asked me.

"Um, n-no," I stuttered, "I was just leaving."

The store clerk nodded and turned around to tend to another costumer. I bowed my head down and ran out of the overly glittery boutique.

Hey guys! Wow, it's been such a long time! I'm so sorry! Merry Christmas Eve, by the way! Anyway, what do you think? Was this chapter too boring? Any ideas for my next chapter? Love you guys! 3 votes and 1 comment for more!
