One week later.
"Okay, Ms. Amber, you are good as new, you can go home now!" The doctor grinned at me.
Although I was thrilled to get out of this plain, white room that's been keeping me captive for the past month, I still can't remember anything. And it's like hell.
"But I still don't remember." I frowned at him.
"Yes, I know. Memory loss is commo-"
"We already know that." My mom cut him off, much like what I've done to her in the last week, and said, "will she or will she not gain her memory back?"
"It's not my place to answer that. Like I've told you before, you never know what to expect with amnesia. It could last a week, a year, or forever. And if forever is the case, you just have to go about your regular life and get back into it... and learn everything over, basically." He paused, before adding, "'The psychiatrist probably already covered this, but my advice to you is don't start any special treatment. Do what you always do, fix what you always fix for dinner, and go to school. You have about 2 weeks left of school, so just try your best."
"Thank you doctor, for everything." My mom shook his hand, and pure gratitude was clear in her brown eyes.
"It was my pleasure. You will be due back here in 6 months for a regular check up, and until then, have a good life." He smiled and exited the room.
Later in that hour a nurse came to take me by wheelchair to my mom's car. As we approached a black Range Rover, I said "Wow..."
"What?" My mom asked.
"It's just so... fancy."
"Well, I am a doctor." She laughed as she opened the door for me. I stood up and climbed in the car, and she shut the door.
The ride home seemed long. I was curious to see what my house looked like. If we drive a fancy car, we must live in a fancy home.
As we drove down a long, paved driveway, my theory was proven correct. This house was huge. Not Kardashian huge... but it was up there on the list no doubt about it.
Two kids came running out of the expensive front door towards me. The little boy attached himself to my leg as the little girl jumped up trying to reach my arms.
"Um, hi there..." I laughed at the children's greeting.
"Amber! I missed you!" The boy said into my jeans as he clung on tighter.
My mom rushed over and pried him off of me. "That's enough Connor and Bria. Lets let her get settled in and inside atleast."
And with that, the kids backed away, still eyeing me close though. Connor and Bria... so I am a big sister. That's interesting.
Am I the type that plays her siblings, or the type that blows them off and calls her friends instead? I guess I'll find out soon.
We walked inside and I was in awe at the house we lived in. It was amazing. When I walked in my bedroom, it was even more astounding. A king sized, circular bed in a deep red bedroom. It didn't look like a 17 year old's bedroom. More like a rich, Kim Kardashian bedroom. It was very sexy looking, maybe that's how I act.. sexy?
It was getting late, around 8:00, so I decided to head on to bed. My mom and little siblings filled me in on some various things about everyday life and I know the basics now. Tomorrow is school, so we'll see how that goes....
