Chapter 9

Calebs POV:

God that black, tight dress! She was so hot, how had I not noticed before? If I had put any more thought on what I would love to do to her body I would have gotten hard right there in the kitchen. I knew exactly what I was doing in the game, feeling up her leg was genius if I say so myself, and the look on her face was priceless. Even though it was a great move on my part, once again she managed to one- up me. Point again for Cali.

She knew! Damn’t she knew, and she had never let me know until tonight. In her sly way she called me out.  A million questions ran through my head. What did she think? Why didn’t she say anything? Why didn’t she kick me out of the bed when she found me? Did she like me spooning her?

My thoughts got interrupted by Jensen who came up and put his hands on Cali’s shoulder. What the hell was going on?  I didn’t even know that she had ever talked to him before. What about Ivan? What was going on here? I could feel myself burning up with anger. Could that be her crush at the party? Was it Ivan or Jensen? But I didn’t see Ivan at the party? I did not like feeling this way and was pissed. I got up from the game and left the table. “Uh-oh” I heard Bailey say behind me.

Cali’s POV:

“Where have you been,” Jensen said, as we walked outside to the pool area. “I was looking for you so that we could talk.” Oh I was stuck playing this game I told him.  I was feeling the effects of my rum and cokes and I was holding on to his arm so I wouldn’t fall. “You look absolutely beautiful tonight; when you came outside and I saw you for the first time you really took my breath away, and I am not just making that up to get in your pants or anything like that.” I smiled and kissed his cheek. “What was that for,” he said? I believe you, I responded.

 I turned my head around to see if Ivan was anywhere in sight because I knew that it would get awkward quickly, but I still didn’t see him. Could it be that he just didn’t come?  I took one last look to see if I could see Skylar anywhere but I didn’t see him. He was probably already locked in his bedroom with that chic he was making out with on the couch earlier.  I turned my attention back to Jensen, but not before I saw Caleb with his arms crossed, glaring at us from across the lawn. He had a frigid, cold look of fire in his eyes.

 Jensen was such a gentleman and so sweet and we talked about a lot of stuff. Our conversation became less private when more people joined us, and now we were surrounded by like 5 other people. Hey Jensen, I will be back, I am just going to run to the restroom. “Sure, no problem Cali.” I went inside and didn’t bother using the bathroom downstairs when I had my own bathroom upstairs. I went in my room and turned around to close the door when Caleb walked in and shut the door behind him. What the hell, I said surprised? “Sit down Cali, we need to talk.”  My stomach started doing somersaults. Let me use the bathroom first I said. I went in and quickly came out and sat on the bed. God he looked so hot.

What do you want Caleb, I said, with a tone of impatience and irritation. “I owe you an explanation he said.”  Roughly, I raised my voice and yelled, “An explanation for what?” Honestly Caleb you don’t owe me anything. And I don’t owe you anything either. I am Skylar’s little sister remember? You’re my big brothers best friend? So what could you possibly have to say to me?

 He took a deep breath and began, “You are right; I did not notice you for 3 years. I am not going to make apologies for that. I don’t know why I never noticed you before…. maybe because I was too wrapped up in football and with my circle of friends, and being that you are my best friends sister I just never thought twice about you.

But, he said, with that sexy smirk of his, I notice you now Cali. Hear me, loud and clear. You are unlike any girl I have ever met. You are spicy, feisty, smart, quick witted, not to mention super hot and I dig that. But please stop holding this 3 year thing against me.” He paused to take a sip of his drink and continued.

 “Now, moving on….You knew, he said, with an embarrassed smile. Why didn’t you say anything to me?” What was I suppose to say? You were not supposed to be there.

Skylar had suggested I take your bed since you were going home with Sabra. “Well, as you can tell that never happened. I didn’t want it to be awkward in the morning between us, and I sure as hell didn’t want your brother to know that I was sleeping with his half naked sexy sister, so I left before you got up.” Well I am glad you left, I lied.  

“Really? Is that right,” he said all pissy. I don’t believe you for one second! There is something Cali….you and I, there is something”……and...... I cut him off. There is NOTHING Caleb!

And with that I bolted towards the door. Wait, he said, getting up and beating me to the door before I could get out.  I will say it again; I don’t believe you for one second! Then his lips came crashing down hard on mine. It happened so fast that I was not reacting. I was not doing anything. I could feel his lips, yet I couldn’t connect my mind with what was happening and get my mouth to do anything. He forced his tongue in my mouth waking me up and I tried pulling away. He wouldn’t let me. He kept swishing his tongue in my mouth harder and finally I gave in. He grabbed my waist and turned me around so that my back was against the door and he pinned his body to mine never once releasing his tongue in my mouth. I grabbed his hair tightly and started kissing him back hard. I could feel the weight of his body on mine and I burned inside. His hand softly traced the side of my body up past my breast to my cheek. He was getting me so hot. I could feel that he was hard now, and I just loved knowing that I was turning him on.

Our hunger for each other was apparent. We kissed passionately, holding each other tightly, and I finally loosened my grip on his hair and pulled away. Is that what you wanted Caleb? Well you got it, now if you will excuse me, and then I walked out the door.

Holy Cow! I could barely breathe. What just happened? My heart was about to come out of my chest. I was out of breathe and needed to compose myself quickly. Bailey, where was Bailey. I needed her quick. I found her sitting on Cory’s lap in the kitchen. I didn’t have time to even think twice about that. Bailey, come here I said, I need to talk to you. “O.K., wow, what’s going on Cali,” she said, as she got off Cori’s lap “you look like you just did something naughty.” Well I did. I laughed.

 We went out front and I told her what had happened. No way!!!!! She shrieked, “Are you kidding me? And what about Jensen?” He is waiting for me outside. I need to go see him. I have to run I said. “Well here, let me at least fix your hair a little bit,” Bailey said, “and straighten yourself up a little bit she giggled. I told you tonight was going to be juicy.” No kidding I blurted, as I pulled down my dress and re-applied lipstick.

I ran outside and caught up with Jensen. “Hey stranger,” he said, all innocently. Sorry I took so long, I had to talk to Bailey real quick. Well that part was true. I felt somewhat guilty but I really shouldn’t I guess. Ivan and I had shared a couple of kisses here and there, but in reality the guy has never even called me, and he didn’t even show up to our party.  And Jensen and I had just met.

I needed another drink. That little make out session with Caleb was sobering me up. Let’s get a drink Jensen. “Sure he said, I will go get it. Rum and coke right?”  I nodded. I took my shoes off and sat on the edge of the pool and put my feet in. The cold water woke me up a little and I started to think a little bit clearer now. That was unlike any mini make out session I had ever had. We truly were hungry for each other. He knew how to get to me, and i had lied to him. I told him there was NOTHING between us.

 Jensen came back with our drinks. So, he said, will I see you tomorrow at the park? Honestly, I don’t think I am going to make the park tomorrow Jensen. I will probably sleep in and then I have to clean up so I will probably just work out close to home. But how about I meet you the next day? “OK he said.” We talked a little bit more and we both agreed it was time to call it a night. It was past 1:30 AM and I was beat. Jensen helped me up and we walked towards the front of the house. I saw Caleb in the kitchen who smiled at me for a second until he saw Jensen next to me. I walked Jensen to the door and hugged him. It was good hanging with you I said. Same here he said. See you in 2 days. He really was a gentleman. He then left.

I found Bailey and told her I was going up to bed. You know you can crash with me I said when you are ready etc... No problem she said.  I couldn’t help but take one last look at Caleb and our eyes met. We both had a little secret between the two of us now and we both knew it. That was my last thought of the night before I went to bed.
