(Even My Dad Does Sometimes- Ed Sheeren)

Graysons POV

I sighed staring onto the marble ground. My dad was walking around mumbling to him self.

"dad, sit down." I told him. He stopped and looked at me.. he bent right in front of me and sighed

Numb was the only feeling I could describe. I couldn't feel anything I felt as if I was slowly walking in my own world. Paying no attention to anyone. I felt dead my heart was pumping my body was moving but I couldn't move. I couldn't speak I couldn't do anything this all just seemed so unreal.

My brother is hurt, my older brother who always told me to fight my fights was beaten and I can't just process all of this right now.

"sorry gray, I should have left you back in home..you look so tired.." I rolled my eyes. I was tired but tired of being ignored. My brother was in who knows what room and my dad is barely even focused on how I'm sucking all this in.

We sat in the waiting room and that's when the doors opened and I saw the familiar bright blonde hair pass by with other people I didn't know.

"Gray!" she ran to me and I got up and hugged her tightly. She was like my older sister, she always helped me through things and always listened to me. But once she and Chandler broke up I never saw her again. until now.

"your here." I whisper, she tucks a strand of blonde hair behind her ear and rubs my head

"of course I'm here silly" I can hear her small laugh but I can tell she wants to cry

She let me go and saw my dad, "William, how are you?"

My father sighed once again running a hand over his face "I've been better." She weakly smiles and faces me again.

"how about you, bud..how you feeling.." I look behind her and see all her friends standing there awkwardly

"tired, and scared.." I answered. She nodded and turned to her friends

"guys, this is Chandler's dad, William and his younger brother Grayson."

She introduced them and I just kept my head down.

Cloud's POV

I kept checking on Grayson just to make sure he was okay. We all waited for about 30 minutes until a doctor came out with a clipboard in his hand and a tired expression.

"Riggs?" William stood up and so did Grayson but I pulled him down and nodded no, I didn't want to traumatize the boy.

William's POV

" Mr. Riggs, I'm sorry to inform you this report. its very tragic and I don't know if you want to know everything " asked the doctor in a mono tone.

" I'd prefer you tell me everything with all honestly " said William.

" Its seems as if your

son was badly hit and beat almost to death. He is still suffering a concussion which may lead to a coma if he doesn't awake soon , but that's the least of your worries at the moment because he lost so much blood its possible when he wakes up he'll be blind. Or worse he may need more blood interested into his system. " said The doctor.

" Your telling me my son might go blind " I said holding back the tears.

" Why did he loss so much " I cried.

"You see when he was stabbed through his body 2 stab wounds hit him in the artery. The artery slowly started bleeding which caused your son to bleed a lot. Then his rib cage was cracked and a part of the bone hit another artery which caused more blood to fall.

Mr. Riggs your son is a fighter never in my 27 years in the medical field could I have ever said a boy with this many stabs, cut artery's and cracked Rib cage made it out alive.

Your son is a true fighter and you should be proud he is over coming this. I say that when most people who've been hurt the worst or perhaps beaten to death. And they still survive its not a miracle its that they want to fight for something here in this world. Something they love or something they need to make right. All miracles are for a reason. Some reasons are important to the person fighting that they'd wouldn't give up until there last breathe" said the doctor.

I looked back at Clouds with Gray on her lap slowly moving his hair out his face as he quietly slept. Could she be the reason he still is breathing?

"alright. um...when do you think we could go and see him?" I questioned

"well, you can see him before the surgery we will do on him, I need you to sign some papers then you'll be able to see him." The doctors guided me to the nurse behind a counter and as I began signing some papers Clouds walked up to me with a sleepy Grayson

"how..how is he?" Clouds questioned, I looked back at the clipboard and signed my name.

I thanked the nurse and guided my son and Clouds to Chandler's room. I didn't want to open this door, I just wanted to see my son walk out here with his smug smile and his beanies. I would do any thing to have that back.

I opened the door and their he laid. IV put into his arm with a heart monitor next to him, a bandage around his head, and a breathing tube in his small nose.

Cloud's POV

I gripped Graysons small hand and he gripped back. "Bro? c-can he hear me?" Gray asked with teary eyes

He let go of my hand and walked over to his older brother body. He grabbed onto his hand and started crying, I looked at his wrists and saw markings of when the boys tied him up. I flinched at the memory, I wiped my eyes and touched Graysons back.

"he has to wake up..he just has to, Clouds..I lost my mom and I'm not going to lose him."

Tears were falling and Grayson turned and hugged me tight, I didn't care his tears were staining my shirt. I rubbed his head and whispered soothing things.

William came to us and engulfed us in a giant hug. "My son is a fighter. He is not giving up that easily. Just like his mother."

The boys left and I grabbed Chandler's hand and squeezed it. "please."

I kissed his head and squeezed my eyes shut and let a tear fall on his face.

please wake up. I need you.
