"Alright we got ice cream?" Lance looked through the freezer as Keith sat on the counter sipping on the water bottle.
"Can't," Keith pursed his lips shrugging.
"I'm lactose," he said softly and Rachel burst out laughing walking in.
"Oh you poor pale bunny, you can't eat anything can you?" She smirked at Keith as he pouted.
"Mom made cookies, I don't think she used milk," Lance offered and Keith smiled taking one from a plate Lance handed to him.
"Wow," Keiths eyes widen as they seemed to sparkle looking at the cookie. "These are amazing,"
"Mama always puts something special in the cookies to make them the best, won't tell us what until we have kids so only Marco and Jess know," Lance smirked sitting on the counter with him and ate one of his own.
"You two going to be okay?" Rachel asked softly.
"Yea, thanks rach, see ya in the morning," Lance smiled at his twin and she nodded walking away to go to her room.
"I'm really sorry about my dad still," Lance sighed looking down.
"I knew it wouldn't be sunshine and rainbows, don't worry, cookie washes the chicken taste," Keith smirked taking another bite.
"Thanks for everything, you've done a lot more out of the deal than I have," Lance bit his lip as Keith looked at him confused.
"What do you mean? You've done a lot," Keith snorted at him.
"Yea how? Doesn't feel like a lot when you've done most," Lance looked at him with guilt.
"Shiro hasn't talked to me, you've been a good friend actually, I haven't even felt alone after Shiro and i broke up, that night I was devastated," Keith shrugged as he drank some more water.
"Glad I'm not completely useless," Lance smiled at him and Keith grinned back.
Lance kept his smile as Keith grabbed another cookie happily as he was still hungry after throwing up dinner.
"So do you want me to drive you home?" Lance coughed awkwardly into his hand and Keith raised an eye brow.
"I mean your guardian or whoever your with is probably getting worried, it's almost ten," Lance said quickly after blushing a little.
"Um no, I live alone, but I don't live far, I'll walk, thanks for dinner though," Keith got down and Lance did as well but stumbled on his foot but grabbed Keith quickly for support. They stayed like that for a moment awkwardly but Lance burst out laughing a little as Keith laughed lightly at him shaking his head.
"Heh sorry man," Lance stood up rubbing the back of his neck and looked at Keiths indigo eyes.
"Whoa... I never really noticed how your eyes are purple," Lance breathed and Keith blushed softly.
"Yea my dad said I have my moms eyes..." Keith gulped looking away.
"They're nice," Lance grinned and Keith laughed half heartily not looking at him.
"I better go, don't need your dad walking in on us like this," Keith gulped but Lance pulled him back before he walked away.
"You don't have to be scared of him," Lance smiled and Keith crossed his arms.
"Like you?" Keith shot back but immediately wished he didn't.
"Yea, I guess," lances smile fell a little but not completely.
"But your a lot braver and stronger than me, so I know you don't have to be scared of him," he sighed taking a step back.
"Why are you so scared of your dad?" Keith pursed his lips.
