Today was the day that everyone started falling apart and the love that once was was torn, the threads that kept these six teenagers on the earth was breaking and the only possible way to mend this broken thread was to create. They must create a friendship that seems impossible and choose one or the other. One decision can break this thread and send someone flying into space, lost forever.

Charlotte Lightwood did not trust Alec even though she secretly just wanted him to tell Gwen that they couldn't possibly be together and that he and Charlotte were truly meant to be. But Alec wasn't so sure, and then again, neither was Charlotte for there was Halden, sweet, sweet Halden who would never dream of standing her up like that.

But Halden Burman had his eyes on Estelle Rivers, the beautiful, passionate, artistic teenager girl who wore combat boots to school everyday and thought that she was absolutely nothing. Though Halden thought Charlotte was a nice girl, he would never dream of the two of them becoming a couple, they weren't right for each other.

Estelle Rivers really liked Halden, but she was convinced that their relationship was limited to friendship and that Jake was actually the one for her. Even though she knew Jake was in a relationship with Gwen, she 'knew' that they were absolutely perfect for each other. Their past was so similar that there was no way he could possibly be with anyone else.

Jake, however, loved Gwen and he was sure of it. Even if Estelle was pretty and understood everything he felt, Gwen and Jake had more in common, they could talk about their feelings simply through music.

But Gwen saw Jake cuddling up with Estelle and din't trust him any longer, even if she really wanted to stay with him. After Gwen and Alec had kissed each other the night before, she wasn't quite sure of what she wanted. Their kiss wasn't like the first kiss she shared with Jake, they had nothing in common and had trouble being friends, forget a couple! But she knew that she could trust Alec even more than she could ever trust Jake.

Oh, but Alec, the man who holds the key to everything. He chooses Charlotte and Halden is dropped and he will choose Estelle. If Alec doesn't choose Gwen then Gwen will go to Jake but Estelle could choose either Halden or Jake. If she chooses Halden, all is well. If she chooses Jake...

Alec isn't sure of what he wants. He liked both Gwen and Charlotte equally, but there was something about Charlotte that made him perk up a bit...

Now, this chapter won't be in different point of views because it's far too complicated than that. Six teenagers fighting over each other, girls crying, boys yelling, secrets being kept. It's all a bunch of chaos and there's many different opinions and it would just be so confusing.

The six misfits walked into the cafeteria and all agreed to sit down at one table to try and figure out how to sort out this huge mess. It was like a big tangle of cords that they had to unravel. Charlotte found out who Gwen was, Gwen found out exactly who Estelle was and softened up a bit to her, Charlotte found out who Estelle was and took an instant liking to her. Alec and Jake officially met and didn't seem to like each other too much. Halden was cold towards Jake but didn't mind Alec.

"Okay, now Charlotte, you have Halden or Alec to choose from. Who would you pick?" Estelle asked, glancing at Halden and back to Jake who was staring at Gwen who was glaring back at him.

Charlotte rose her eyebrows. "Wait... Why are we starting with me? Obviously Alec should be making the choice." She motioned over to Alec, her voice cold and hard. She glared at him and folded her arms.

Alec winced a little bit and glanced at Charlotte and over to Gwen. He wasn't too sure who he wanted. "I... I don't know." He muttered.

Charlotte felt her heart sink but Gwen sat motionless, moving her gaze to the table. Why were they even trying? This was a huge mess and nobody knew what they wanted or anything.
