You had finally made it to the rush hours.
Monsters even started sitting at the tables to enjoy their coffee.
As you handed a coffee to another monster you heard the ring that indicated that the door was opened.
You leaned to greet them, but you didn't know them.
You suddenly became excited, newcomers! You straightened your back because first impressions matter.
The monster you handed the coffee to left the counter to sit down.
The two monsters that walked through the door seemed to be arguing a bit.
They were skeletons.
They finally made it to the counter.
"Hi! I don't believe I've seen you here before." You greeted them.
The taller skeleton seemed to straighten his back.
"GREETINGS HUMAN." He yells.
The shorter skeleton elbowed his leg.
"keep it down, paps." The shorter skeleton said.
His voice was deep, but had a soothing tune to it.
"Sorry, Brother." The tall one apologized.
"Well then, I'm (Y/n)!" You introduce yourself.
"I'm The Great Papyrus!" The tall-- Papyrus said.
He nudged the smaller skeleton, trying to get him to introduce himself.
He was so short I couldn't really see his face.
"i'm sans." He said.
Something clicked in your mind.
"Like the fonts!" You exclaimed your thoughts.
You suddenly covered your mouth.
"Oh my goodness, was that rude? I apologise." You saying sorry helped.
"it's cool." Sans said.
"What would you like to drink?" You ask for they're order.
"May I Have A Latte." Papyrus said.
"Ok, and what about you, Mr. Sans?" You asked.
"what would you recommend?" He asked.
You let it a 'hmm' sound.
"Probably the chocolate mocha." You say happily.
"then i'll take that." He says.
You nod and make your way to the care machine.
You could over hear Papyrus complain that Sans was so lazy that he couldn't even choose what he wanted.
You couldn't stop yourself from being curious of the skeletons.
As the coffee was being made, you decided to get some small talk in.
"So, since your new here, what lead you to my humble coffee shop?" You ask while leaning on your counter.
"our friends recommended it. they said that you help in anyway you can." Sans answered.
"Yep! I try to at least, but sometimes I can't help everyone, that makes me feel kind of bad. People think really highly of me." You say with a warm smile.
"must be frustrating at times, huh?" Sans says.
Your smile falters a bit.
"I try not to lose my temper in front of my customers." You say.
The ding rings in your ears. You turn and walk to the coffee machine and grab the two coffees it made.
You shoved a lid on it and reached for the straws.
You stop. Would they be able to use straws?
"Would you like straws?" You asked the two skeletons that were standing patiently.
"NO STRAW." Papyrus says.
"straw." Sans said.
You giggled as you heard Papyrus go on another rant about how lazy sans was, that he's so lazy that he couldn't even lift the cup to his skull.
You brought the two drinks to them and handed them the drinks.
"Enjoy!" You tell them.
"I'M SURE WE WILL." Papyrus said with a thumbs up.
Sans just gave you a wink and a smile.
Causing you to blush slightly.
"W-wait!" You exclaimed causing most of the monsters around to glance at you.
The two skeletons turned back to look at your with confused faces.
"Y-you forgot y-your complimentary cookies..." You explained.
You handed them each a cookie.
"S-sorry... Umm, E-enjoy your day!" You say.
And with that they left. You began to miss them already.
Maybe they'll come back later.
You don't know what it was, but you were so attracted to the short skeleton. You could feel his pain. He was in so much pain, but he was so good at hiding it. You really wanted to help him.
You shook it off and went on with your job for the rest of the day. Greeting monsters and bidding them farewell.
