Because I'm sad

Me and Max were sat in our chairs on one of the stages that wasn't being used. We were waiting for the interviewer to arrive, but they'd gotten caught in heavy traffic so we were finding ways to entertain ourselves.

"Okay, last time. If I win, you gotta answer my question."

"Deal, Rudolph." He smirked. "Rock, paper, scissors!" He both showed the one that we'd chosen and Max grunted. "How are you so good at this?"

"I told you, stop going for paper. It's not the underdog it's just a stupid choice." I laughed as I brought my leg up and sat on it, half crossing my legs. "My question. What's going on with you and Ruby? And don't bullshit me, I've seen those looks you give her." I smirked at him with raised eyebrows.

"I'm not sure, if I'm being honest. I like being around her and I enjoy when we spend time together. I think I might like her, you know." He mumbled, mostly to himself.

"That's so cute!" I reached over and pinched his cheek playfully. "Are you gonna talk to her about it?" I asked after Max was finished swatting my hand away from him.

"I'll have to. If I want to figure out how I feel, I'll need to know how she feels." He shrugged his shoulders lightly before changing his whole mood. "You're doing something for your birthday, right?"

"I'd forgotten about that." I laughed, flicking my blue hair out of my face. "I think we should all go out to the club. I don't really trust you not to trash the hotel."

Our conversation was cut short as the interview team walked into the room, being led by one of our stage managers.

"So sorry we're late, there was a four car pileup." The lady rushed as she approached us. "I'm Penny, I'll be interviewing you guys today."

The interview soon started and it was filled with laughter as Max continuously made jokes.

"It was released that you had to put filming on hold due to any injury. Can you explain what happened there?" Penny asked with a slight smile, sitting back into her chair.

I saw the camera zoom in on my slightly as I laughed lightly. "Well, there's a scene in the movie where my character gets punched right in the face. My harness guy was meant to pull me back but completely missed the cue. So I took a huge right hook to the face - it broke my nose, fractured my eye socket and gave me a black eye." I reeled off, counting the injuries on my finger. "They all made fun of my nose for months!" I laughed.

"As beautiful as Carter is, not even she could pull off the whole bloody and bruised face look." Max laughed. I gasped and playfully hit his chest as he tried to swat my hand away.

"I would get texts at random points throughout the day from the entire cast, making jokes about my nose and the fact I couldn't breathe through my nose. I sounded like darth Vader for months." I told them with a laugh.

"So, what can you tell us about the relationship between your characters?" She asked, reading from her cue cards.

"Max, careful what you say. Marvel like to keep things under lock and key." I smirked, nudging him with my elbow before looking back to the woman. "Well, Alice is the new girl at school and she obviously has this huge secret that she can't tell anyone. She has to hide it and that makes her come across as shy and very introverted- which is not the case at all if you've seen her in Infinity War." I laughed, gesturing with my hands.

"My character Nick is the typical jock who just wants to get into everybody's pants." I couldn't hold back the laughter at Max's blunt statement. "I think that alone speaks for their relationship- at the start, at least."

"Is that hint to some serious relationship development?" She asked with an eyebrow raised as she leant forward in her chair.

"Shut up, its a trap." I said quickly, covering Max's mouth with my hand.
