My hands shook with nerves as we waited backstage of the show. James Corden was going to call us on any second and I felt like I was about to throw up.
"I know that face - that's your vomit face. Please don't be sick, this is a new suit."
Toms joke made my fears lessen, knowing he'd be there as we announced he expansion of our own little family helped to soothe me.
"I can't help it." I groaned, fiddling with my engagement ring.
"Is it pregnancy vomit? Because the doctor said since you're three and a half months the nausea should have faded by now. But, some of the books say it can carry on for longer if having more than one baby." He rambled.
"You are adorable." I whispered before tilting my head up and kissing him gently. I pulled away quickly when I heard our names being called. Tom gripped my hand in his own and lead the way as the curtain opened and we walked out.
The crowd erupted into cheers at the sight of us, I could even pick out a few people pointing at me and my little bump. I was showing enough now that it no longer looked like I'd just had too many cupcakes.
James had a huge grin as he approached us, looking between us and my belly.
"What?!" He yelled, pulling me into a quick hug and giving me a kiss on the cheek. He shook Tom's hand and led us over to the main stage.
"I normally start that interview with general introductions, but let's please address this!" He said with a laugh, pointing at my stomach.
"Well. I'm pregnant James, that's what this is. I'd be offended if you thought it was anything else." I laughed, running my fingers through my hair with my free hand that wasn't resting in Tom's.
We sat on the couch and I slouched back slightly to get more comfortable. The crowd awed at us as Tom pressed a kiss to the back of my hand before resting it in his lap, still clasped in his own.
"You've already got the slouching down. Classic pregnant lady sitting. My wife could never sit up straight, bless her." James laughed, straightening his prompt cards. "Can I ask, how far along are you?" He said politely.
"Well, I'm 14 week pregnant with these little babies." I smiled, my free hand running over the curve of my bump.
"Babies?!"
"Twins, James. Apparently, it's my fault." Tom laughed.
"It so is! I mean, come on, we traced back my entire family tree and there has never been a set of twins. Suddenly we introduce the Holland gene, and bam, I've got two buns in the oven!" I said, my hands waving about dramatically.
"Mum, I'm freaking out. Alright, this is just all happening so quickly. I knew we'd start a family eventually, but not at 22. I don't even know how to tell her about the new Spider-Man that starts shooting soon."
I pushed the door to the bedroom open as tears fell down my cheeks. Tom turned to face me as his jaw dropped in shock. He quickly hung up the phone and approached me, but I stepped back.
"Let me explain, darling." He pleaded, holding his hands out.
"Don't bother." I spat. "I ask you all the time how you're doing and you don't think to mention that you're freaking out? We're a team, Tom. You said were in this together." I sobbed, heading over to the dresser as leaning against it.
"We were - we are! It's just a stressful thing-"
"You're fucking telling me?! Tell me, Tom, how are those two babies doing that are growing in your womb? Oh, wait, that's me!" I yelled.
