I was excited this time. I knew he was going to be there because he told me that he goes there everyday.
I ordered my tea as always and continued reading the same book from yesterday. I looked around occasionally to see if I could see him. My heart was pounding the entire time. I had butterflies in my stomach just thinking about him.
I continued reading. I lost track of time and what was happening. I got to the Café at 4:00. It was already 6:00. I had finished the book. That's how I knew it was getting late. I finished my tea a long time ago but obviously didn't realize it.
I looked around the Café, hoping he was there, and maybe he just didn't see me. But I never seen him. He must have just not came today. I thought. Yeah, that's what it is. But how can I find him. I began to over think as usual.
But I couldn't let him interfere with my work. I threw my tea away as I walked out of the Café. I walked down the street and found a spot on the beach that I liked. I walked on the beach, holding my camera as I looked for things to snap.
The sunset was beautiful, the water was beautiful, the sand was beautiful. He was beautiful.
"Damnit!" I said to myself. Stop thinking about him. I couldn't get him out of my head. I tried to ignore it, taking pictures of the sunset, ocean, and even a lighthouse that was at the corner of the beach.
I put my camera away and began to walk down the beach admiring the view. I bent my knees as I squatted down to feel the sand and look at the sea shells. A few moments later, I stood up and turned around. I was going to go home, until someone literally ran right into me, knocking me to the ground.
"Oh my gosh, Are you ok? I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking forward for a moment." He grabbed my arm and helped me up. I brushed the sand off of my clothes.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I looked up. There he was. It was Jake. He had his shirt off, and basketball shorts on. I couldn't help but dart my eyes up and down his body. Seeing his sweaty torso, and toned abs, immediately made my mouth dry.
"Jessica, right?" He asked as if he almost didn't remember me; which, to be honest made me a little bit upset, considering I couldn't stop thinking about him.
"Yeah, it's Jessica." He stared at me for a moment as if he was confused. What could he possibly be confused about? I thought.
