(edited because wattpad keeps doing this thing where it italicizes anything bold or bolds anything italicized. Hopefully, it should look normal, now)

Even though she was only 10 when her family moved to Korea, our precious Jae Hwa still picked up some very Chicagoan phrases from her Chicagoan mother...

(Note: I will put all of the Chicagoan phrases in bold for those of you not from Chicago or any of the surrounding neighborhoods. I'm from Chicago, myself, so please let me know if anything confuses you and I'll try my best to explain!)

1. Jeet?

Jae: *in English* "Hey, jeet yet, guys?"

Namjoon: "What?"

Jae: "Jeet?"

Namjoon: "Come again, Jae?"

Jae: "Did. You. Eat?"

2. LSD
(feat. Amber Liu)

Jae: *talking about some random thing that happened when her mom was driving* "...so then, when we were on LSD, this lady driving this gigantic-ass SUV—"

Amber: "Wait, hold on. You did you say you were on LSD?"

Jae: "Yeah. Why do you sound so—oh, right! Sorry. Lake Shore Drive."

3. The S is silent
(When she first met the other BTS members)

Taehyung: "So where are you from?"

Jae: "Chicago, Illinois. It's in America. By the way, the S in Illinois is silent. It's pronounced exactly like how it's spelled but without the S."

Just quotes and actions cuz I'm feeling lazy atm:

"Yeah, it's over by the frunchroom."

"I'll have a canna pop."

*wearing shorts and a t-shirt in 50 degree weather*
(note: 50 degrees Fahrenheit is the same as 10 degrees Celsius)

"Padiddle!" *punches ceiling of the van*

"Seriously, we don't all sound like 'Bill Swerski's Superfans.'"
