A/N: I got a request for ghiralink from j10076828 just a few minutes ago actually while I was playing Breath of the Wild, so naturally I stopped what I was doing to answer the request. I hope it's to your liking!
~¤~He knew that from the minute they met it wouldn't be the last they'd see of each other. They were, after all, after the same thing, just for very different reasons. Ghirahim, being the one for theatrics, monologued for far too long about them being bound by a red thread of fate. The only red threads Link saw however, were what made the demon lord's cloak. Regardless of that fact, Link couldn't help but feel something pulling the two together. Fate, destiny, the fact that Ghirahim is always creepily lurking in every temple Link finds himself in, SOMETHING was pulling those two together. He didn't know when it started to happen, but somewhere along his journey, Link began to miss the demon lord's presence. The overwhelming silence of each location has the hero almost begging to hear Ghirahim's voice, always boisterous and filled to the brim with drama. Ghirahim tho felt a need within himself for the hero's presence. He knew the boy would be the literal death of him, and yes he often called the blonde a nuisance and a pest, but Ghirahim still craved his attention without a single clue as to why. It was slowly driving him mad! Every meeting between the two resulted in their interaction growing longer and longer, Link even being as bold as to add a snarky comment in the middle of Ghirahim's rant. These confrontations, however, simmered down immensely over time, and the two found themselves getting along more than they were fighting. They were down right flirting, well Ghirahim was more so than Link was. Ghirahim would be all over him, complementing his eyes, using the worst possible pick up lines to make Link laugh, you name it he probably did it.
Today was no exception to that.
"You know, there simply must be a reason you were made up in the city in the sky, and I do believe I've found it. Yes, a beauty such as yours must have been made on the goddess' sacred land, you're simply too divine to have inhabited anywhere else." Link playfully rolled his eyes for the third time since Ghirahim had been speaking. Dont get him wrong, he adored the demon lord, but sometimes he was down right ridiculous. "I truly do resent the goddess Hylia, but sometimes I do find myself thanking her for binding us together." Ghirahim prattled on. 'Now if my chance, he's going to rant about the thread of fate!' Link thought happily to himself. "If it weren't for this thread, why I don't think I would ever have been graced with your appearance."
"Ghirahim, I love you, but if you don't stop trying I will cut that thread."
