When you opened the door, you announced that you came back home and having me jump from the couch and run to entrance. I asked how your day was as you took off your shoes, and almost automatically, you started to tell me about it.

You walked towards the kitchen as you told me about how work was, putting your hair up in a ponytail since you were going to start cooking. You talked about how you avoided your colleagues, and as I was about to scold you about it, you lift up your hand and smiled knowingly.

"But— It's because I know of what they will say." You let out. "They will be telling me how sorry they are, they have been like that for the past week or so. So, please, let me off?" You ask in a quiet voice.

I swallow down the knot that formed in my throat before nodding my head.

"Fine — but just today! Because the following days, I don't want you all lonely!" I say while leaning on the counter as I watch you focusing on cooking. "And who gave you the right to lift up your hand against me to shut me up! If I were alive I would already be already tickling the hell—"

"Okay, okay— are you done?" You laugh while covering your lips to prevent you from letting out more giggles.

My eyes widened and I dramatically shook my head, slamming my hands down on the table but it didn't shake. "I am not! Listen here, young lady, as much as I'm younger than you, I still need some sort of respect!"
