I felt pain for the first time after you left the apartment, it felt as if I was burning all over my body. I spent the entire day that way and somehow, it intensified. I was screaming in pain but of course, nobody would hear me.

But then, just before you came home, it stopped.

I heard the door opening and you came rushing in, you were facing down, your hair as mess and I could barely see the look on your face. Out of instinct, I'd call out to you but you headed for the bathroom.

I ran after you and saw you placing something in your mouth before heading back to your room and lying on your bed. You covered your face with your hands, hiding from me as if knowing I'd go after you.

You were quietly sobbing, your shoulders trembling and there was nothing I could do, not even cradle you in my arms and I couldn't even ask what was wrong. You wouldn't hear me.

But as I sat on the edge of the bed for another hour, you became quiet and finally, slowly, you opened your eyes. They tiredly look around the room.

"Yukhei?" Your voice was raspy from crying. I smiled painfully.

"Talk to me, Lisa." I leaned toward you, grasping your hand and I was able to feel the warmth of it, when your eyes locked with mine, I'd figured you could see me.

You looked relieved to see me, your hand gripped mine tightly back and you pulled yourself up, wrapping your arms around me while I rub your back up and down soothingly. "What happened today? Did something happen at work?"

You smile as if you could fool me.

"Nothing happened, I just missed you."
