I felt scared. What were you trying to do?

You were sat on the couch, staring at nothing but the picture you held on your lap. It showed how happy we were, how you used to be, but thanks to my selfish mistake, here you are.

It's been days, I don't see you sleeping at all. And when you do, it's probably out of the house. The house phone used to ring every five minutes, until you broke it too, you took out the cable, you took everything out.

We had no electronics in the house, you never turned the lights on anymore, and I could even see you properly. But I know you look pale, so pale, like a ghost. You had dee bags under your eyes from not sleeping at all, you look sick, Lisa, and I could event reach out to you.

As much as I beg, you wouldn't listen. As much as you cried, I couldn't hold you in my arms. It was the cruel reality between us.

What were you trying to hide?
