Kenya's point of view
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The pop made my entire body jump.
After the pop came silence.
And after the silence footsteps.
They came closer, and closer.
When they were almost here I looked up at Cynthia.
She was frozen.
I look back at the door.
The footsteps were right outside the room.
It's now or never.
I get up as quick as possible and lock the door.
Then I hear a loud pop accompanied by a sharp pain in my stomach.This person shot through a door.
I might die today.
I can see tears running down Cynthia's face but somehow she's in the same position, frozen. I grab my stomach and begin to fall to my knees.
The next thing I see is Cynthia with her hands up.
And Lucas with a bag of supplies and a heater.
What is happening?
———————————————
I open my eyes to see Cynthia crying in the corner of the bathroom. I'm in a bath tub filled with blankets.I see Janet hovering over my body... she's preforming surgery.
Thank god Janet is a certified doctor.
If not I might of died.
After looking down to see blood all over my stomach I pass out again.
Honestly... who wouldn't.
———————————————
I open my eyes again to see no one. I'm on my air mattress.I try to get up, but the pain is just to sharp.
"CYNTHIA"
I yell."Kenya?" Says Cynthia with a concerned tone. She looks down at me from her bed.
"I'm hungry" I say.
"I know" she reply's back "me too"
"So why not eat?" I ask.
"He took all of our food" she says.
"What now?" I say.
She gets up and walks to her closet.
She pulls out a shotgun. As she cocks the gun she says "I guess we have to get it back."
