Latices POV
It was hard leaving Michael last night but honestly it was for the best. I couldn't put any of us in danger especially Destiny. After the argument with Michael I rang my mum and explained everything from the rape to the shootings. The call consisted of anger, sadness, tears and threats to call the police but after calming her down she agreed to let me and Destiny stay with her.

She didn't really agree with the way I handled it but she wouldn't leave her daughter and granddaughter out. The hardest part was explaining everything to Destiny. Cause I didn't want to really tell her that I had left her dad but I didn't want to give her false hope.

So when she did ask 'where's daddy?' I would just say 'well baby me and daddy are just having a little time away from each other but you will still be able to see him'. She didn't really fuss about t too much but I knew the truth would have to come out.

Even though it has only been a day from being away from Michael it feels like 2months. We were always together no matter what and we had been through thick and thin. Nothing could tear us apart. Well we thought so...

I was in one of the spare bedrooms putting away some of Destinys clothes when my mum walked in and sat down on the bed.

''Hey mum'' I say focusing on putting the clothes in drawers

''Hey sweetie we should talk'' she replies. I sigh and sit down next to her

''About what?'' I ask

''You and Michael'' she says

''Mum honestly I'm good'' I say trying to get up to carry on with what I'm doing but I feel a firm grip on my arm

''Sit your ass down now Latice Destiny Russell or so help me G-'' she says through gritted teeth and before she could carry on I sat myself straight back down.

''What's done is done'' I say sternly

''But do you really feel like it's done,'' my mum replied searching my eyes for an answer.

''No...'' I trembled

''So then why not go to the police and explain everything instead of leaving Michael?'' She asked

''Because Nicky will do anything and destroy everything to get what he wants'' a tear slowly fell down my cheek

''Aww my little girl. Why don't you talk things through with Michael'' she pulled me into a hug.

''I can't I just can't'' I replied

''So this is how it's going to be'' she asked

''yes..''

''What about your love. You can't just throw that away. Are you going to be able to live with that''

''Yes it was my decision and I will have to live with that'' I said

Without saying nothing more my mum pulled me into her embrace even more and just sat there for a while. I feel like it was a message to just let me know she would be there for me.

1 week later...

''Okai sweetie, you're going to spend the week with daddy just you two okai ?'' I say to Destiny

''YESS MOMMMY YAAAYYY'' she replies with excitement and runs to the car

''Are you sure you're okai with this mum?'' I ask as she reached for the door

''Yes baby I will see you soon''she kisses me on the forehead and heads out.

Michaels POV
I open the door to see a beaming Destiny jump up towards me.

''DADDY DADDY I MISSSED YOU'' she yells whilst burying her face into my chest.

''Hey babygirl I missed you to, I put in Moana so you can go watch it if you like'' I chuckle

Without an answer she jumps off me and runs to the couch. I turn back around to see Ms Russell standing there with bags and an awkward smile on her face

''Hello Ms Russell,how are you'' I ask

''Hello Michael I'm good and please call me Tracey.

''How is she?'' I ask nervously

''She's alright from what she's showing. How are you?'' She replies

''I'm surviving but I miss her'' I shuffle my feet awkwardly

''I bet she misses you too but you know why this is all happening''

''Yea I do. But is there any chance you could give her something for me'' I say looking up into her eyes

''Um well I don't know if I shoul-'' I cut her off

''Please Tracey it's just a letter she won't return any of my calls, my texts my emails nothin-''

''ALRIGHT ALRIGHT RELAX. Just gimme the letter'' she yells

I nod and quickly run upstairs to get the letter. I jog back down and give it to her. She smiles.

'' Thank you Ms Russell, I mean Tracey'' I grin

''No problem now go spend time with your daughter'' I take the bags from her and we exchange goodbyes. Hopefully this will work...

Latices POV
When my mum got home all she said was that she was tired and handed me a letter. I was confused and first so I didn't open it till I was finally in bed. Instantly I recognised the handwriting and it was Michaels. I was tempted to thrown it in the bin but I was curious. It read:

        Dear Latice,
                             I know you said that you didn't want to talk to me or us to be us anymore but I couldn't contain myself. I miss you. I miss you so much. My life is empty without you and I need you back. I love you so much and will never stop loving you. I know you're doing this to protect each other and Destiny but it's breaking my heart. Not being able to wake up to your beautiful face in the morning and seeing Destiny's bright eyes downstairs hurts. Can we please at least meet and talk about this instead of brushing it away. Just message me the time and the place and I'll be there. Even if it's for 2 minutes we just need to talk. I love you.
          Michael.

I tear fell down my face and for a while I sat there staring at the ceiling. After about five minutes I grabbed my phone and unblocked Michael. I saw that there were over 100 messages, calls and emails.  I got on the messages and after reading them I type.

'We need to talk'.

About 5 seconds later I get an instant reply

'Tell me where and when' he replies

'Next week Monday, I'll send you the address'

'Okai I love you' he replies

I am about to say it back but realise that it's not a smart idea I close my phone and go to sleep. I really do miss him.

Nickys POV
Just a few more hours and I will finally ruin his life forever. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice guess who's next...you.
