Gabriel drives Castiel to school the next day, just as he always does. As they head inside, a bunch of people that Castiel vaguely recognizes from precious mornings greet his older brother briefly.

Castiel tries to make a mental note of who's over here. Smith and Wesson saw him in the morning, which means he must stand over here before school starts. He looks around, but no one is paying any special attention to him. There are way too many people that have been in classes with him before for him to figure it out that way. This is just impossible. How's he supposed to find out who this guy is?

He's not watching where he's going, so he almost trips over one of Gabriel's friends as they cut in front of him to see the older boy.

"Goddammit —" Castiel mutters under his breath, quickly catching his balance.

Gabriel smacks him lightly on the head. "Language."

"Fuck you," Castiel says, more as an automatic response than a genuine feeling. As always, Gabriel doesn't even bat an eye at that.

Castiel cuts in front of his brother, speed walking away to get to his class. The bell isn't ringing for another 10 minutes or so, but he'll get to talk to Aaron for most of it, so he doesn't mind the wait.

As soon as he sits down, he checks his phone. Sure enough, he has a message from Smith and Wesson on tumblr, just like the previous day.

smithnwesson: Why'd Gabriel hit you

Castiel sighs softly to himself. So Smith and Wesson was there. He was right there yet again, and Castiel missed him.

marvelbutmostlyloki: Because he's an asshole.

smithnwesson: Ooh now I want the whole story

marvelbutmostlyloki: There really is no story. I'm just a horrible Christian. This should be news to no one.

smithnwesson: Idk anything about religion so now I'm confused

marvelbutmostlyloki: That's okay. I would love to not know anything about religion.

smithnwesson: Wait are you even religious

smithnwesson: I mean obviously you are but like do you actually believe in god and all that cuz that kinda makes it sound like you don't

marvelbutmostlyloki: Honestly, I don't know what I believe.

smithnwesson: "idk what I believe" an autobiography by me about every single class ever

marvelbutmostlyloki: Not an academics fan, then?

smithnwesson: Academics have no fans

marvelbutmostlyloki: I'm sure they do, but you're right. Academics suck. I wish they could just stop being necessary.

smithnwesson: Amen to that

smithnwesson: Wait can I say that or is that offensive to your religion

marvelbutmostlyloki: I think it's okay. I don't really know the ins and outs of Christianity, but I can safely say that I personally don't find it offensive.

marvelbutmostlyloki: I could try saying something like that to Gabriel, and if he smacks me, we'll know it's bad.

smithnwesson: Ohhhhh so that's why he hit you

smithnwesson: You offended his religion or whatever

smithnwesson: That's kinda weird to me tho cuz I've had classes with him before and he's never cared if anyone said or did unchristian (?) things

marvelbutmostlyloki: He doesn't force his religion on people. He just does it to me because he thinks I care as much about it as the rest of my family does.

smithnwesson: And he's wrong

marvelbutmostlyloki: Very much so.

smithnwesson: Can I ask a question

marvelbutmostlyloki: Yes, but I can't guarantee I'll answer it.

smithnwesson: Is Gabriel homophobic

marvelbutmostlyloki: I should have known that was coming. I genuinely do not know. I would assume my whole family is, but it doesn't come up in conversation, and I can't subtly ask them.

smithnwesson: That sucks :(

smithnwesson: For your sake I hope they're not

marvelbutmostlyloki: It doesn't really matter. I'm never going to come out to them. I'm pansexual, not gay. I'm still completely capable of marrying a woman and starting a family like a good Christian.

smithnwesson: Yeah but that still sucks

marvelbutmostlyloki: That's life.

smithnwesson: Gloomy

marvelbutmostlyloki: Realistic

smithnwesson: You're so depressing rn

marvelbutmostlyloki: It's a depressing topic. And, in hindsight, it occurs to me that I said I wouldn't take about Gabriel behind his back, and yet here I am.

smithnwesson: If it's any consolation there's absolutely no way his name would come up in conversation with anyone but you

smithnwesson: He's popular but he's not a celebrity

marvelbutmostlyloki: I suppose you're right.

smithnwesson: Why did I read that in a British accent

marvelbutmostlyloki: That's a very good question.

smithnwesson: Gotta go time to get to class baiii

marvelbutmostlyloki: Bye!
