"Right over there," Castiel says, gesturing to the table with his new friends.

"And the redhead, she's the gay one?" Aaron asks.

Castiel nods, then says a quick, "Oh, shit, wait, she hasn't come out to everyone yet. Pretend I never told you — but still don't hit on her."

"Dammit, she's kinda cute," Aaron says.

Castiel shakes his head in amusement. "Come on."

They sit down at the lunch table, where the other three are already waiting. Charlie beams when she sees Aaron.

"It's the other one!" she says. "Hi! I'm Charlie!"

"Aaron," he replies.

"And that's Benny and Dean," Castiel adds.

"Good to meet you," Benny says.

"You too," Aaron says. He looks at Dean expectantly, waiting for him to acknowledge his existence, but he doesn't. Aaron gives him a small wave anyway.

"Now that introductions are over," Charlie says, "Castiel told me you're not going to prom, and I have brought it upon myself to change your mind."

Ultimately, she does convince Aaron to come with them, but that's not what Castiel is interested in. He keeps his gaze on Dean for most of the conversation. The boy is absolutely silent the whole time. Every now and then he'll glance up from his food, but whenever he meets Castiel's gaze, he quickly looks away.

Why does he keep looking at Castiel? It made sense the day before, when Castiel was the only new one. Maybe Dean was just curious. But now Aaron's here, and Dean can still only look at Castiel? What gives? Is it just because Castiel's pansexual? Is that why he's so awkward around him? It would explain why Charlie hasn't come out to him yet. The guy really needs to lighten up.
