As soon as Aaron shows up to class the next day, Castiel starts talking, trying to fit it all in before the room gets too crowded.

"So, I know you've only been gone for two days, but you've missed a lot," Castiel says. "First of all, I'm going to prom."

"Did you change your mind and ask Meg?" Aaron asks. "It's about damn time."

"What? No," Castiel says. "I'm going with a couple new friends —"

"I've been gone for two days and you've already replaced me?" Aaron scoffs. "Et tu, Brute."

"I was going to finish that sentence by telling you that you should come to," Castiel says.

"Never," Aaron deadpans. "If I don't get to talk to Meg, I'm not interested."

"Okay, maybe you'll change your mind when you meet my new friends," Castiel says. Charlie and Benny should be able to convince him. Dean, on the other hand, seems a little stuck up. He's not exactly friendship material. Maybe he's just internally homophobic.

"When am I meeting your friends and why?" Aaron asks.

"At lunch and because they're great," Castiel replies.

"Are any of them hot girls?" Aaron asks. "Or even girls at all. I'll take that, too."

"Well, there's one —"

"I call dibs," Aaron says immediately.

"But she's a lesbian," Castiel finishes.

"Um... Oh?" Aaron says uncertainly.

Okay, that's not reassuring. But he needs to finish the recap. He can't let Aaron figure it out on his own.

"And I'm pansexual," Castiel says. "Which I know I haven't mentioned before but —"

"The hell is pansexual?" Aaron asks. "Do you want to fuck a pan or something?"

"It's basically bisexual," Castiel says, just because he doesn't want to explain it.

"Then you should have said that instead," Aaron says. "Would have made way more sense."

"Well, yeah, but I identify as —"

"But no one knows what pansexual is," Aaron says. "It just sounds stupid."

Castiel just stares at him. "I just told you that I'm pansexual and the only thing you're going to take away from this is the fact that you don't like the label?"

"Well, yeah," Aaron says. "What else would I take away from that?"

"Oh, I don't know," Castiel sad sarcastically. "Maybe that I like guys?"

"And?" Aaron says. "So what? It's not 1800 anymore. No one cares, man — no offense."

"I wish that were true," Castiel says. "Unfortunately, most of the school doesn't seem to agree with you."

Aaron frowns. "We're surrounded by bigger idiots than I thought."
