It had now been quite a while since you and Victor had started dating, and, well, being official. You spent most of your time together either at your place or outside, because his parents disapproved of your relationship. As your relationship deepened, though, it became increasingly frustrating. While you had your own room, you had two younger brothers who were twins, and a younger sister, so you didn't get much intimacy, because you never knew when one of them would come barging in — or just another member of your big family who would have come visiting.
To be honest, though, it's not like you would have wanted to do something with them around. It was probably the biggest turn-off ever to hear your brothers screaming in the next room. Because, naturally, the walls were also paper-thin. It didn't matter too much for kissing, but it certainly wasn't the perfect romantic setting for anything other than that. The two of you did manage to get some time when you could just enjoy each other's company, alone in your apartment, but even then, the most you did was touching each other over clothes — and, okay, maybe under the clothes a bit too.
Tonight was different. Victor's parents were gone for the week-end, and you had the apartment for yourselves for the night. You intended to make the most of it. You were still a virgin, but you knew Victor wasn't, and while the two of you hadn't exactly talked about it, you had come prepared.
He opened the door for you and gave you a bright smile. It struck you how happy he always was to see you. It almost worried you. How deprived of affection had he been before? He leaned in to kiss you softly and you brought your hand to his cheek as you answered his kiss tenderly.
When you pulled away, you bit back a grin when you noticed how flushed Victor was. He cleared his throat, trying to mask his embarrassment.
"I made dinner," he said, almost shyly.
"Ah, sweet words," you chuckled. "I didn't know you cooked, though."
It was his time to grin as he answered "Don't you know my now that there's nothing I can't do?"
"I should," you admitted with a laugh.
"After you, Miss," he said, bowing lightly and gesturing you towards the living-room.
"What, you're not going to take off my coat first?" you protested jokingly.
"My, I'm forgetting my manners," Victor smiled, going along with your little game. "If I may?"
You nodded, discreetly biting your lower lip. He carefully helped you out of your coat, before turning around and hanging it. It was only then that he got a good look at you, and truth be told, it made him freeze for a few seconds. You waited for his reaction nervously. You were wearing small heels, deciding against risking high heels when you never wore any, and a red dress that he thought just looked... Perfect. He had no other words that could fit.
"Wow," he finally commented.
You relaxed immediately. It would have been, if not hurtful, at the very least awkward if he hadn't said anything.
"Like it?" you asked.
He gulped down. "You're kinda making me want to skip dinner," he admitted, his voice huskier than usual, making you blush deeply. You had not expected him to be so straightforward.
"It would be a shame not to at least try what you prepared, don't you think?"
You saw him flinch, and it wasn't hard for you to guess that it always surprised him that people would want to know more of him under the surface, under the genius and the school's star quarterback. You hoped one day, he'd be able to understand that this was normal, and if not with other people, that it'd at least stop surprising him coming from you. It was not the time yet, but you certainly wished to help him with that.
