Thomas's POV

She's gone.

Those two words have haunted me since we left Y/N. As we escaped the Maze, escaped WICKED, and survived the Scorch all I could think about was Y/N. Ever since we left her in the Maze, I've had this feeling in the pit of my stomach.

We were standing outside the wall, scanning the crowd. "Thomas!" Jeorge yelled. "This is not what you're looking for. All these people trying to find their way in, you think you're gonna find something they can't?"

"Came this far. I'm not turning back now."

"What the hell did we get ourselves into?" Frypan muttered as we weaved our way through the crowd. We got to the edge of the barrier and stopped.

"Thomas, this doesn't feel right." Jeorge said, grabbing my arm stopping me.

I turned around to see Newt right behind me. "Hey, guys, we gotta go now." He cleared his throat as he looked over his shoulder, "Look." It was then that we noticed men in gas masks coming towards us. Before we could do anything there was a loud whirring sound.

"Let's go. Let's go." Someone yelled as the guns started firing.

I turned around thinking I recognized that voice. "Thomas, let's go!" I heard Frypan yell. Everyone started to yell as we turned around and ran away from the wall.

When we ran around the corner, we gasped as the men in masks grabbed us. Before we could do anything, we were thrown into vans. Brenda and I were in one van and everyone else was thrown into a different one. I looked at the three men holding guns before looking over at Brenda.

We jumped when we felt the van come to a stop. Suddenly the door behind us opened. "Get out!" A man yelled. I looked at Brenda before helping her out.

We looked over and saw the other van screech to a stop. I looked over at Brenda when we heard some yelling. We gasped when the back doors open and a guard was thrown out.

"Where is she, you son of a bitch?!"

"Oh shit," I mumbled as Jeorge jumped out of the van and started punching the man. We ran forward and tried to pull him off.

"I'm right here!" Brenda yelled. "I'm right here!"

"Everybody relax," said the voice that sounded familiar. "We're all on the same side here."

"What do you mean, same side?" I asked. "Who the hell are you?" We were all silent as the man just stared at us. I held my breath as he slowly took off his mask.

"Hey, greenie."

Gally.

We all just stared at him. "No way," Frypan mumbled.

I felt my hands begin to shake as I stared at him. Before I could stop myself, I took a few steps forward and punched him in the face. "No, wait!" I heard someone yell as I got on top of him.

"Hold!" Gally yelled as the other men pointed their guns at me. I didn't care. I was too pissed off to care. "Stop! It's alright."

"Stop," Newt said grabbing my arm, stopping me from hitting him again. "Stop it. Stop."

"He killed Chuck," I said, my voice breaking.

"Yeah, I know." He said softly. "I remember. I was there too, all right? But I also remember that he was stung and half out of his mind. Just calm down, all right?"

"Thomas."

My breath got caught in my throat when I heard the voice I never thought I would ever hear again. I looked up to see Y/N looking down at me.

"Y/N?" Newt gasped. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Newt slowly stand up.

She looked between me and Gally before looking at the guards around us. "What are you doing just standing there? Get him off of him," she instructed. I jumped up, still unable to form words, as two guys stepped forward. I watched as she leaned down and helped Gally up.

"What the hell?" I heard Frypan stutter.

"Are you alright?" She asked, sounding like her old self.

"I'm fine," he said looking between her and me. He cleared his throat as he readjusted his jaw. "Kinda had that coming."

He looked around at us and sighed. "Anybody else? Fry? Newt?"

I ignored him as Y/N continued to avoid eye contact. She had her arms crossed against her chest and she was looking to the side.

"You know them?" Jeorge asked looking between Gally and Y/N.

"They were old friends," Fry said looking between Gally and Y/N.

"How?" Newt stuttered. "How is this possible? We watched you die."

"No, you left me to die," Gally said glancing at Y/N.

"You left us both to die," Y/N said under her breath. I opened my mouth to respond but Gally cut me off.

"And if we hadn't found you when we did, you'd be dead right now." There was an awkward silence as we stared at each other. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked.

"Minho," Newt said making Y/N's head pop up. "WICKED has him here. We're looking for a way in."

Gally looked at Y/N before looking back at us. "We can help with that." She just rolled her eyes and let out an annoyed sigh. "Follow me," Gally sighed.

"I'm not going anywhere with you," I said instantly.

"Suit yourself," Y/N scoffed. "But we can get you through those walls." She turned around and started to walk away.

"Y/N. . . You. . . You were dead," I stuttered.

"No," she said quickly turning towards me, making me take a step back. "You thought I was dead."

"Y/N," I said, trying to take a step towards her. My heart sank as she instantly took a step back.

"You left me," her voice broke as she looked away from us. We were all speechless as a single tear slid down her cheek.

She turned around, her back facing us as her hands started to shake. "Y/N," Gally said gently putting his hand on her shoulder. He walked around so he was standing in front of her. His hands slid down her arms until he intertwined their fingers. "Look at me," he whispered.

I couldn't help but feel jealous that he was the one comforting her. My heart sank even more when I realized I was the reason she needed comforting.

She looked up at him and whispered, "They left us both to die."

"They didn't do that to us, Y/N. WICKED did."

"But," she starts to say.

"Remember who the real enemy is," he cut her off.

She looked at us from over her shoulder as she let go of his hands. When she did, I didn't recognize her. "Let's go. He's going to want to talk to them."

"Y/N," Gally sighed as she tried to walk past him. "He doesn't like visitors."

"I don't give a shit," she said harshly. She looked at his face before sighing and lowering her voice. "He's going to want to talk to him." When she said "him", she sent a glare over her shoulder at me.

She looked at the men around us and nodded. "Bag 'em."

"Y/N," I started to say as the men quickly put black bags over our heads.

"Was that necessary?" I heard Gally ask as we were dragged and thrown in the back of a truck.

"Super necessary," Y/N scoffed as the doors slammed shut.
