I sluggishly followed behind Scott as he repeated the same words under his breath. "Stay away from Allison. Stay away from Allison." He repeated like a mantra, going up the stairs. I paused when he quickly turned and went the other way, I spotted the girl he was avoiding and went after Scott, making sure she didn't see me. That would result in her asking where Scott was and I wasn't bothered to come up with a lie.

We walked down a long hallway but when Jackson stomped out of a room with the same pissed-off expression he was always wearing, Scott turned into another hallway. "Stay away from Jackson. Just stay away from Jackson."

I wanted to pity him, I really did. But the people he was trying to avoid just kept showing up and there was a limit to how much I could hold my hyena-like laughter in. "Hey Scott and Liv!" Lydia chirped from her locker.

"Oh come on!" Scott yelled. I smiled at Lydia who returned it but the moment was short living when Scott grabbed my wrist and dragged me into our next class. I broke out into quiet, continuous laughter. The one that everyone knows, when you can't breathe and all that can escape your lips are wheezes. Scott glared at me and nodded at Stiles who avoided his gaze. My laughter turned into chuckles and I stumbled into my seat next to Stiles, feeling light-headed.

"Still not talking to me?" Scott questioned, all he could see was the back of his head. But from my view, you could see his clenched jaw and uncomfortable posture. I could tell he didn't like being mad at Scott.

I frowned, remembering him telling me over the phone that he thought Scott should've done something. When I woke up this morning, Stiles was still on the phone and it was almost dead but I could hear his quiet snores. The werewolf sighed, looking down at his desk.

"Can you at least tell me if your dad's okay? I mean it's just a bruise, right? Some soft tissue damage?" Stiles poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue and I knew know wasn't the time to melt on the spot. "You know I feel really bad about it, right?"

He sighed again and I was about to say something when Scott spoke again. "Okay, what if I told you that I'm trying to figure this whole thing out and that... I went to Derek for help." Stiles looked up like he was questioning God why he had such an idiotic friend.

"Stiles, I mean I like to be petty but watching this makes me feel like stepping on Lego wouldn't be such a bad thing." He glanced at me for a split second and I thought he would ignore me too.

"Scott, if I was talking to you, I'd say that you're an idiot for trusting him. But obviously I'm not talking to you." Stiles snapped without even turning around. Okay, I guess that was progress. The bell rang and I pulled my notebook out of my bag. I predicted that Stiles couldn't go five seconds without wanting to know what he said.

The hyperactive teenager whipped around with curious eyes. "What did he say?" Scott and I chuckled at him and began to explain throughout the whole lesson, not paying attention to the teacher. If there was a quiz, I probably would've failed it even if I was listening.

The three of us walked out of the classroom seconds after the bell rang and Stiles was still trying to understand Derek's logic. "He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Scott nodded, shrugging his backpack on. "All right, well, correct me if I'm wrong but every time you do that, you try to kill someone. And that someone's usually me or Liv."

"I know. That's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can teach me. I have to be able to control it." Scott stressed. I restricted trying to roll my eyes, I had to listen to Scott go on for hours about if he could control his anger and shifting. Obviously, he couldn't not mention Allison's name for that long, so he switched the conversation to how he was going to stay away from her.
