I sat up with a gasp, my eyes squinted to adjust to the light in the room. I looked around, figuring out I was in the movie store. It seemed like nobody else was here. Before I could think about it anymore, I heard the bell ding. Someone was here.

"Can somebody help me find The Notebook?" Jackson's voice spoke up. I stood up, looking around to find where he was. "Hello?"

"Jackson?" I questioned, his back was turned to me as he was searching through the shelf. I stepped closer and was about to touch his shoulder, when he turned around and walked right through me.

I looked at my body, I was still here. I poked my stomach curiously but all I could feel was a poke. I turned around to look at Jackson who looked like he didn't know I was there. I looked out of the window to my right and saw a car parked outside, inside of it was Lydia on her phone.

"Is anybody working here?" Jackson asked, looking around to see no one. A phone rang in the background that most likely wasn't going to be answered.

I decided to look through the aisles to see if I could find at least another customer. I wandered into another section, but I wasn't prepared for what I was about to see. A man lay in a puddle of his own blood, his throat ripped out.

Not even a second later, Jackson appeared on the other end, his skin turned pale and he stumbled backwards, trying to get away from the lifeless body. I watched as he crashed into the ladder, the lights dramatically flickered even more. A low growl hummed further down the room, my body locked up in fright before I realised that I technically wasn't even there.

I walked towards where the sound was coming from and before I turned a corner to step out of the aisle, a big shadow heaved up and down. As if it was breathing really heavily, it might be because it was angry or panting from maybe a nice late night jog in the woods. I really hoped it was the latter.

I saw the beast looking thing turn and lock eyes with it, one thing crossed my mind.

Jackson.

Just before I was about to run to him, the beast growled and disappeared from behind a shelf. I took my chance and slowly looked through the aisles for the living and breathing asshole. Heavy breathing came from a few rows down but thankfully it sounded human. Jackson was crouching behind a shelf, a few of the contents spilled from them.

Bangs and thuds were coming closer and closer, as soon as I blinked, the shelf we were hiding next to came down. Jackson dodged out of the way but not quick enough, his lower half had been stuck under the shelf. I quickly looked down at myself, coming terms with the fact that I hadn't moved out of the way. It was like I was a ghost, it went right through me and was sitting at my waist. I didn't feel a thing and if I was actually here, I would have been crushed.

Louder growls brought me out of my thinking, it sounded closer, way too close. Jackson was struggling with getting out so I attempted to help him out, the shelf was too heavy and barely moved when I tried to lift it up. I stopped when a shadow lurked above Jackson and I, claws caressed the back of his neck and before I could get a closer look, the red eyed monster jumped out of the window and leapt away. A scream came from the car, not too close from where the creature jumped out.

I took a deep, startled breath. Maybe a bit too deep since I started choking on the air I breathed. My bedroom door opened and Scott's figure appeared in the doorway.

"You okay?" He asked quietly, slowly walking to my bedside. I nodded even though I wasn't.

"Yeah, I just had a bad dream." I whispered.
