Recap from chapter 7: Chase has the exact same dream he had two night before. There is someone behind chase and Skye says "Look out!!!".
All of the sudden, it went dark and very warm. Chase had heard voices yelling.
"Let him go, or i'll bite your hand", said three or four pups at different times. Chase couldn't stand up because he was in what seemed like a bag, but Chase wasn't sure. He could hear growling coming from the pups.
" Back, get back!!", said the voice. Chase recognized the voice at once, it was Mayor Humdinger. He felt the bag start to swing back and forth. Chase then felt a punch from Mayor Humdinger, as though he wanted Chase to be unconscious. Chase got a headache, nothing more. He was determined to get out of this bag, he would not lose Skye again. Then he started to get light headed. Chase heard Skye start crying for him.
" I'm coming back", Chase assured her. Mayor Humdinger rolled his eyes in disgust. He started walking towards his helicopter. He had ordered his kittens to charge and attack the rest of the team.
" Skye!!", Chase yelled. Mayor Humdinger had already gotten into the helicopter.
" Time to go kittens", said Mayor Humdinger. The kittens had gotten into the helicopter, then the helicopter had started to raise of the ground. Chase had managed to get his head out of the bag. He got one last look at Skye, who was starting to cry. Her beautiful face then fading away into the clouds.
Chase woke up immediately, his heart pounding fast. He was so shocked with terror that he looked for Skye right away. When he saw that she was still sleeping, he sighed with relief. He nuzzled her as if it was the last time he could ever see her.
