Chapter 16

Recap from chapter 15: Mayor Humdinger tricks Chase into cheating on Skye with another pup.

    Mayor Humdinger was keeping Chase hostage, but the other german shepard wasn't even Mayor Humdinger's. Meanwhile, Ryder was a little worried about Chase, so he and the pups except Skye went with him in the air patroler. When they got there, they found Chase with the wound.

    " Can you fix Chase's wound Marshall?", asked Ryder. Marshall was happy to help.

    " I'm ready for a ruff ruff rescue", said Marshall, getting everything ready. When the bullet was out, Chase and the rest of the team went inside the air patroler and took off. Chase then remembered what just happened.

    " Ryder, I forgot to tell you something", said Chase, with a worried tone.
   
    " I, I cheated on Skye", Chase said, with his head down in utter grief and despair.

    " I know you would never do that to Skye, so who made you do it?", said Ryder. Chase was surprised at what he just heard. He expected yelling questions, or the team not believing him. The air patroler landed at the lookout on the pavement. The team quickly got out, glad to be back home. Chase on the other hand, got out of the other side, and just sat on the pavement, with his head still down. He still hadn't answered the question that Ryder had given him. Skye had gotten out on the pavement to join the team.

" You're not going to like it, Skye", said Ryder. Chase finally had the courage to tell Ryder who made Chase cheat on Skye.

    " It was Mayor Humdinger who made me do it", said Chase, his back against everyone else with his head still down.

    " Made you do what?", said Skye in a suspicious tone. She went around the air patroler to find Chase in utter grief and pain. Skye just watched him, curious of what was going on.

    " I'm so sorry Skye, I-", said Chase. He couldn't finish the last part.

    " I, I cheated on you", said Chase, now in more pain then he had ever emotionally been in his entire life. He was ready for the consequences.

    " I love you, and I also forgive you, because it wasn't your fault Chase", said Skye, lovingly while nuzzling him. Chase thought for the rest of the day about how he was going to make it up to Skye, because he still felt sorrow for Skye.
