Chapter 12

Recap from chapter 11: Chase falls and falls, not knowing if someone will help him. He gets caught by an officer with a harness. The rest of the team mourns while Skye just runs and runs.

After about two and a half hours, the other helicopter that had patrolled, arrived at a dessert-like landscape. The air was very dusty and hot. Chase started coughing because of all the dust he started to breath in.

" You'll get used to it", said the man. Chase was curious to know his name.

" What's your na-", Chase started to say, but was interrupted.

" TEN, HUT", said a deep, but loud voice. Chase immediately saw all the men scramble around, but chase recognized this, they were getting into formation like the paw patrol did, it was a completely new formation though. Chase just stood their not knowing what to do. With all the men in straight lines, there stood just one man in an army jacket, and was way bigger than the rest of the men.

" GET INTO FORMATION K-9!!", the man yelled, when he saw Chase. Chase just froze, still not knowing what he was talking about.

" With all due respect, he doesn't know what your talking about, sir", said the man with the harness still on. Chase saw that when the man said that, he kept a serious face, but was looking straight forward. Silence filled the helicopter for about a minute. The other man looked very angry now.

" Then call him", the other man snapped in a whispered voice. The man standing still in harness then whistled Chase over to him. Chase obeyed and sat down right next to him. Meanwhile, with the team settled and calm, Ryder decided to go back to the lookout.

" Come on pups, let's go back", said Ryder. When they got back, they all saw Skye crying worse than she had ever been. She was thinking about her and Chase sleeping together, how his warm fur embraced hers, how his paws wrapped around her with love and affection towards her.

" Why the army, Chase", Skye cried to herself. Ryder looked at her with a sad expression. All of the sudden, Ryder's pup pad rang. As he answered, he was hoping there would be good news. It was the man that saved Chase.

" My name is General Isam", said the man.

" Hi, what can we help you with?", said Ryder, as cheerfully as possible.

" Is Skye there?", asked General Isam. Ryder walked over to Skye's pup house.

" Skye, there's someone who wants to talk to you", said Ryder in a loving tone.

" About what?", Skye asked, still crying a little.

" About me", said a voice that Skye immediately recognized. She looked up hoping it was the one she was longing for. And there he was in the screen, the one who was now called K-9 Chase.
