Chapter 3

Recap from chapter 2: Mayor Humdinger doesn't want Skye and Chase to be together, so he builds a helicopter and kidnaps Skye, leaving her pup tag at the bottom of an icy cold lake.

The next morning Chase woke up as usual and started to wake the team. He always started with Skye, but when he saw that she wasn't there, he went straight to Ryder, forgetting to wake the rest of the team.

" Ryder, Skye is missing!", said Chase, starting to get worried. He had hoped that Ryder would call on just him for a mission to help find skye. To his surprise, Ryder didn't even pull out his pup pad, he just sat there thinking.

" Where's the last place you saw her?", asked Ryder.

" She was right in her pup house when I woke up yesterday morning", said Chase. Ryder pulled out his pup pad, but he didn't pull out the attachment, he just stood there, searching for something.

" My pup pad says her last location was, in a lake?", said Ryder, confused. Chase was very worried at this point, a little annoyed too, because he just wanted Skye back.

" You don't think she dro......", Chase couldn't even say the last word. Ryder was now worried for both Skye and Chase. Ryder knew what Chase was thinking.

" No, I don't think or even believe it", said Ryder, in a loving tone while petting Chase. That statement still didn't change Chase's thoughts one bit. He was still determined to get the love of his life back to him, even if he had to die to keep her safe.

" If her coordinates are in the lake, she's probably not to far off course", said Ryder. Giving a reassuring tone. Meanwhile, at the top of the icy mountain, Skye had just woken up, very cold and hungry. She then realized where she was.

" Oh no!!", said Skye, so worried that she was almost crying.

" Ryder, are you there?", said Skye, but there was no response from anyone. "Great", Skye thought to herself. She found that the lock on the cage was very simple. Skye, being very smart pulled a latch that unlocked the cage. She was able to unlock the cage, but she was to high up the mountain. Skye decided to go under a nearby tree for shelter. She had gotten comfortable on a little patch of soft grass and fell asleep.
