Nurse Faith's POV
As I walked past Mr. Garrett's room I thought I should check on Amora, she was really upset earlier. As I walk in I notice that Amora isn't in her bed. I notice that blood seeping out from under the door. Panicking I go down to the floor to see what the situation is, Amora is on the ground, bleeding! Running to the nurses station I call over the intercom for all assistance to room 246 stat. Other nurses ask what is going on and I explain there is a patient locked in the bathroom, unresponsive, with blood seeping out from under the door. We worked on that door 15 minutes before we got in. Not believing what is before me, I call for a stretcher. The doctor comes running in to take her to emergency surgery.
She had slit her wrist, she lost alot of blood but luckly I found her before her heart completely stopped. After Dr. Morris took her off to surgery I picked up the phone. Hesitantly I dialed her aunts number and pushed the call button. It rang a few times and then someone answered...
"Hello?" A little voice came through the phone. I noticed who it was almost immediately, its little Liel.
" Is your auntie there, this is nurse Faith from the hospital." I asked Liel.
" Yes she is, give me a second and Ill get her on the phone for you." Liel responded in a tired voice.
" Okay, I'll wait." I said putting my hand on my forehead, regreting what I am about to tell her.
     " Hello?" She answers
" Umm, yes Mrs. Carlos? Could you come to the hospital? Something has happened regarding Amora." I say, chills going down my spine.
" What happened? Is everything okay?" She questions with a shaky voice.
" I would feel more comfortable talking with you about this in person. Could you have someone watch Liel? How long would it take you to get here?" I look at the clock and wait patiently for an answer.
" Uh, I could see if my neighbor could watch him. I'm sure she wouldn't mind and it would only take me 15 minutes to get there." She says worriedly.
" Okay, Ill explain everything I know when you get here." I say in a calming voice.
" Okay, Ill be there." She said and then hung up. 30 minutes pass and she walks fast up to the nurses station.

" Hi, I am the guardian of Amora Carlos. Her nurse called and said I should come as fast as I could. It took longer then expected, with morning traffic it was rough and..." she said.

" Beth, It's Amora. Would you come with me please so I could talk to you in private?" I said gesturing her toward the surgical wing waiting room. She started to form tears in her eyes as we walked to the waiting room. " Beth, I have to ask some questions. Has your niece ever been suicidal or depressed to the point self harm?"

" Aren't these questions you could have asked me over the phone or before I had left earlier?" she questioned in fiery. I shifted in my seat so I was now facing her instead of the floor.

" Before these questions didn't have to be asked. Due to current events, these questions are now necessary to ask." I look back to the floor as she gives me a confused look.

" What do you mean 'Due to current events'? Amora is a smart, beautiful, and very popular girl. she has never struggled with any of these things!" Beth sat there for a second going over the reasons for these questions. Her facial expression changed as if she had just figured out what was happening. " Amora!" with that she got up faster then I could stop her and Beth ran toward Amora's room.

" Ms. Cartos, hold on let me explain before you go in there." It was to late Beth wretch the door and with the scene in front of her she hit the floor with her hands pulling at her coat. When I got to her I told on of then near by nurses to get a chair. Getting to her level I told her that once she got up in the chair I would explain what was happening. She didn't respond for a moment and then she nodded.

" Would you like a coffee before I start?" I asked, she nodded her head and so I got up and went across the hall to the nurses station and got a cup of coffee. Forgetting that i didn't ask her if she wanted anything to go in it I just grabbed two creamers and two sugars. Heading back I hold the cup steady out to Beth. " I didn't know whether or not you wanted creamer so I just guessed on what I thought you wanted."

" It's okay, you did good. What happened we were only gone for 3 hours?" her eyes teared up from only what I can imagine was her remembering all the blood she just saw all over the floor.

" I was doing my rounds about 2 hours ago and I figured I would check on Amora to see if she had calmed down from earlier. When I went into the room I saw that she hadn't gotten into bed so I looked at the door to the bathroom and at the bottom I saw a small bit of blood coming out from under it. I tried calling out her name and opening the door but she had it locked. So I got down to look and see whether or not she had teared her stitches and that's when I called for all hands to help get the door open. It took us 15 or 20 minutes to get it open. When we got inside she had the blade in her hand. She had slit her wrists vertically. Her heart was hardly beating, Dr. Morris took her to emergency surgery." I said trying to comfort her as much as I could

" Do you think she will make it?" Beth asked with a worried look, with tears streaming down her rosy cheeks.

" I believe that you have a wonderful niece in that O.R. with one of the best surgeons in the state. We will have to pray and hope she makes it but that is all we can do for her right now." I said grabbing her hand and holding it firmly while she lays her crying face in my shoulder. As I sat there I prayed in my head, hoping that Amora is going to be okay.
