Chapter 10.0: My Angel

Jack's POV

"Ryan! I have been searching you forever!" I shouted to Ryan.
"Jack, move your ass here!" I roared back, and he sounded pretty angry. >Better taking my taser with me...< With that thought I grabbed the device and ran into the direction that I had heard Ryan.

He stared at Selena, my Angel, an put one had around her neck, just to press her closer to the wall, a murderous look in his eyes.
"Do you want to explain me how THIS could happen?!" he said rhetorical and and pressed Selena's bracelet into my chest.
"No idea, Ryan..." I stammered and made two steps back, because I knew how brutal my bruder could be when angry.
No idea, no idea! Listen up, young man! The only thing you have no idea about is what I am going to do to you now!" I shouted and let Selena, who had become a bit blue in the face, fall to the ground. Now I got angry, he had almost suffocated her!

He grabbed into his pocket and pulled the little dagger that he always had out, and took a swing. I stepped back and ran down the floor backwards, but he was faster.

"Where are you running away brother dearest? Are you scared to fight against me?" he asked me and raised his arm.
I just shook my head and stepped back even more.
"I am sorry Ryan! It will never happen again, please!" I pleaded with a trembling voice.
I acted as if I was scared, so I could surprise Ryan.

When he wanted to attack me with the dagger, I pulled out my taser and gave him a good shock. The device was on full power.
When he turned his eyes and felt to the ground lifelessly, I kneeled down next to him and felt his pulse, who had disappeared. I ran over to Selena, who had come back to life again, and placed her in my arms.
"Bernhard!" I called the Butler.
"Let his body disappear." He nodded and did his job.

Selena's POV

When I felt arms around me I was surprised. Ryan's body was lying lifelessly on the floor and Jack was hugging me. When he called Bernhard he began to play with my hair and whisper calming words into my ear.
He picked me up and carried me into his room. Even though I didn't like nor Ryan nir Jack, I still liked Jack more.

>At least he didn't try to kill me....<
"Did you really want to escape?" Jack asked softly. I nodded. I was scared that Jack would get angry and do something to me. But his eyes were looking sad, not evil as I had expected.
" I am sorry that you had to that, and for everything Ryan did to you. But he is away now, he can't hurt you anymore. Give me a chance, okay? I promise that I will protect you, I will never hurt you. But you have to give me a chance and not try to escape again, okay?"

"Do you promise me? Are you sure?" I asked silently. He nodded with a smile
"I promise." I nodded and Jack grinned like a child at christmas, his eyes were glowing. He gave me a hug and a long, soft kiss.
>Maybe it won't be that bad...< I smiled a bit.

Selena's POV (10 years later)

"I'm back, my Angel!" I heard a voice from the door. I went to Jack and he gave me a kiss on the lips, it was his way of saying 'hello'.
"How is Aurora? Did our little princess give you trouble?" Jack asked while walking over to our sleeping child.
"Aurora was as well behaved as ever."

I was happy with Jack. He was a good father and husband, and until now he hadn't broken his promise, letting me life more or less free.
Of course he would get jealous when someone looked at me the wrong way, but it was okay. I did not want to know what would have happened if Ryan had killed Jack first...
