This picks up right after the ending of the first story.

(Eren's P.O.V.)

"Eren! Get your ass in here or else we're starting without you!"

I walked into the room where Levi, Hanji, and Erwin sat for dinner. I sat in my usual spot and we began to dig into the delicious meal. Erwin and Levi held hands, Hanji cracked stupid jokes, and I laughed along with them. I'm glad everything was back to normal.......

Wait...

"Eren? What's wrong?" Hanji asked and I looked up to see all their faces on me. They held an eerie expression, one that looked almost fake.

Is this real?

I scanned their faces getting more confused. "What's happening? Why are we-? What about t-the cra-?"

"What do you mean? We're having dinner like we always do," Levi stated but his voice sounded different, "Is something the matter Eren?"

This is crazy. I must be going insane!

"Eren?" Hanji asked, "Eren.......Eren.....Eren!"

"Eren!"

"Wha-!" My eyes shoot open as I jerk awake in the chair I sat in.

"Shh, wake up, your dad wants to see you," Hanji whispered.

"O-oh, ok thanks," I say. I pull off the blanket from my lap while standing up and lay it on the chair. I look around the dark room, readjusting back to reality from the crazy dream that was interrupted.

Besides the quiet sounds of the city, the only noise in the room was the slow beep on the medical machine in the corner. I listen closer and hear the calm breathing of the man lying in the bed. I smile to myself before walking out of the room into the brightly lit hallway.

I get down to the waiting area where I see my father making coffee at the station provided. I walk over to him and he hands me a cup. "Um, thanks."

We sit in chairs facing the window. "What's up?" I ask.

He pauses a moment, "When he wakes ... can you um... can you ask if he would give me a chance to speak with him?"

"About what?" I question.

"Things." He said politely.

"Umm s-sure.....is that all you wanted to talk about?"

"No...h-how are you holding up?" He said and stared into my bloodshot, sleep deprived, eyes. I was exhausted, mentally and physically, and my dad could tell.

"I'm holding," I mumble.

"By a thread son. You're completely drained." He's right, I've been here for three days straight. I've barely slept, not even counting the few days before all of this. "I think you should get a good night's sleep. In your bed."
