(Eren's P.O.V.)
Levi has been trying to adjust back to living at home. Though I help him around basically the entire day. He still is unable to walk very well by himself. I don't mind at all helping I guess I'm a natural caregiver. I cook, clean, and help Levi out at his place during the day and sleep in my room at night. Levi sleeps a lot during the day too just because his body is still focusing on healing.
Though I basically cook for Hanji and me because Levi is still on the liquid stuff. I've tried to make it taste better by adding some fruit or turning it into a smoothie but his stomach refuses to take anything other than that. He told me not to feel bad though, that he can deal with it but I still feel bad that he has to eat stuff that doesn't taste good.
Levi has had his ups and downs of course, his pain fluctuates time to time and he's been uncomfortable all day today. Levi was currently sitting on the couch watching Supernatural while I was folding some laundry. I walked through the living room not really paying attention while holding the basket of clothes. I mumbled a hey and gave a quick smile but I noticed something. Levi for some reason was attempting to tie his shoes he put on. "Levi, what are you doing?"
He's bent over slightly trying to reach the laces. "I wanted to see if I got any mail."
"And how exactly did you think you were gonna do that?" I asked with a bit of sarcasm.
"Oh fuck off." He spits.
"Hm," I hummed as I put the clothes in his room. When I returned he was still trying to tie his shoes. "Fine, let me tie them and we'll go get the mail," I said as I knelt down at his feet.
"N-No!" I suddenly was shoved back and I landed on my butt. "I can do it myself! J-just give me a damn minute..." His voice trailed off as he tried to bend over more, however, he grunted in pain and fell into a coughing fit that didn't help one bit.
"Levi you can't do this b-"
"By myself? Yeah, I guess not! I guess I can't do shit anymore!" He shouted.
"That's not tru-"
"Oh bull! Even you're not that stupid, you help me with everything!" He quipped. I stood to help him lay back on the couch but he held an arm up stopping me. "I can fucking lay down!"
"I-I'm just trying to help..." I say upset.
"I'm not mad at you, idiot. I'm grateful, believe me! But I just feel so useless right now, just let me at least lie down on my own." He mumbled. I understand his point. I don't know how I would feel if I was basically bedridden 24/7. Feeling the need to give him some space I decide to go downstairs.
"I need to get my mail anyway so... I'll be right back." I say in a lighter spirit trying to bring in some positivity. Levi smiles and thanks me so I head downstairs.
Levi had a bunch of getting well cards, one from his work, one from Armin, my dad, and even Erwin's family. I looked in my mailbox and saw a letter from the mechanic I've been talking to recently. Hanji's father has been helping me because he knows a bit about motorcycles and apparently "knows a guy". I open the letter and it showed the bill and estimated time of completion, about another few weeks or so if everything goes smoothly.
