"Maraba lale!" Gwaggo  .... welcomed.

Her portion of the house has a room divided into two culturally(in hausa) known as 'ciki da rumfa' i.e 'bedroom and parlor'.
Dad bent his head downward on entering and i followed in unison.

Who built this?

It was so hot in there, I looked around and found only a single- tiny window. No wonder, there's no cross-ventilation. I was starting to feel suffocated as Dad perspired profusely when Gwaggo Kulu rushed in and gave us a hand-fan each.

What took her so long? I mean, where did she ran to, after welcoming us?.

"Gwaggo ina wuni" dad greeted.
"Ba gajiya" she answered glaring at me.

Rabbana...

"Baki iya gaisuwa ba!" Gwaggo shouted at me.

I quivered.

"Ina wuni" i greeted respectfully.
"Sai da na roqa kenan, ko uwarki!....."

"Please Gwaggo, she is just a child!" Dad interrupted her pleadingly.

"Auuu toh..." She said, nodding her head (like an agama lizard's) and continued.
"Lallai, tabbas!" She added, in an astonishing manner.

Is'nt she some sort of drama-queen?.

"And from now henceforth, you don't have to be dragging her late mother into any issue, let her rest in peace!" Dad stated angrily.

Oh Allah...
