[A/N: We hit #32 on CRIME wow thanks guys! This book will be ending soon, and I've decided we'll be making a sequel to this book once I'm done with revamping the entire book into third person and editing the trailer, as well as the new book cover! So do look out for those! A big thanks to @eastcoastgirrrl for giving me suggestions to make a sequel ❤️]

It was real. They were finally back. Breathing in the air of their homeland had never felt so refreshing. Sheila rushed to the hospital with Elaine, and the rest of them headed for Seige's hideout.

They were somewhere near Ottawa, and Daniel was locked up in a room for interrogation. Meanwhile, some of Sanctuary's men were patrolling the building, just in case there were any more of Laurelai's men alive.

After all, there was no way Daniel would be foolish enough to throw all his men into a pit of destruction.

They stood outside the one-way glass and turned the speaker on so that the gang would hear the conversation between Kei and Daniel. Justin stood beside the door, just in case Kei got too physical. Gwen started the voice recorder so that they could capture evidence from the talk between Kei and Daniel.

"You're really a sordid man with a lot of tricks up your sleeve, aren't you, Dan?" Kei raised a brow as he circled around Daniel like an eagle watching its prey.

"Heh," Daniel let out a small chuckle, "you're not as foolish as your Uncle, lad."

"You're not fit to mention his name!" Kei slammed his palms on the table in a fit of anger. Recomposing himself, Kei took a deep breath, and popped the question, "Why did you create Eregor?"

Daniel guffawed and even though he was tied up, he convulsed as he did so. "You lads have been supporting the wrong side all this time, you know?"

"Stop beating about the bush and cut to the chase, Daniel," Kei said firmly. Instead of playing along with Daniel's game, Kei tried a harsher approach. "Who's this wretch named Emilia?"

The glee on Daniel's face quickly faded into a look of anger and insanity—the kind he had been giving them throughout this entire saga.

He meant business.

"Now we're talking." Kei grinned slightly.

"Don't you fucking dare call her a wretch!" Daniel exploded with fury, his eyes reflecting nothing but vibes of a cold-blooded murderer. "She saved my life! And she'll be back to haunt you all!"

"She's dead!" Kei ranted in Daniel's face. "Just like all the other innocent people you killed!"

"Kei, that's enough." Justin bellowed over the communicator.
