Chapter 8 - A New Friend

Izuku POV

Another day at school - at UA. Sighing as I felt empty inside. After years of training and hard work, life became boring - no obstacles or happiness. I have great friends of course but I don't want to bother them.

Ring! Ring!

That was the bell that symbolizes the end of the day rang causing a massive rush of students wanting to get out of school as soon as possible. Activating my quirk, I simply froze time and walked past everyone. I didn't feel like taking my normal path home as I wanted to spice things up in my life.

I went down the path of where I got my time quirk, though there are many crimes committed there I could easily freeze time and run away. Looking at the great skyscrapers that towered over me, I was deep in thought about my next step in becoming a hero when I heard a high pitched scream in a nearby alley way.

I slowed down time to 0.5 and looked around. My eyes landed on 4 muscular men manhandling a girl about my age. I also noticed another man bleeding on the floor with a knife next to him. The men, in slow motion, tried grabbing the girls clothes attempting to rip it off her body.

I deduced that the girl was getting raped and she tried to defend herself with a knife. Where she got it, I don't know. I stopped time and pried the girl off the men's grip. I then used One for All to beat up the rapists til they were unconscious.

I unfroze time to hear the girl still screaming. I put up my hands trying not to look hostile.

"Hey hey, I'm not one of them! I saw you in trouble and I decided to save you. "I quickly said, she stopped screaming but instead looked at me confused. I also noted she was shaking. "Don't believe me, they're all unconscious there"

She looked towards the bodies then started to walk towards the bleeding man, I thought she was making sure they were unconscious until she picked up the knife on the ground and threw it at me. I saw a glimpse of metal and I subconsciously froze time. I walked forward to grab the knife in mid air.

I wiped the knife clean using a moderately clean towel to in a nearby trash can. I then slipped it into my back pocket while unfreezing time.

The girl who tried to kill me looked at me in surprise, she muttered something under her breathe that sounded very similar to 'teleportation'.

"Hey, I'm not going to hurt you. Just calm down" I whispered soothingly in her ear while hugging her" every thing will be ok". She then blushed, I didn't think of anything as her face was always blushing.

I stopped and stuck out my hand:
"I'm Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you". She hesitated for half a second before shaking my hand.

"Toga Himiko" she said while smiling. Guess we are both on the same page now. Though when she took my hand I blushed a bit from physical contact from a girl. I turned my head around so she wouldn't notice.

"Could I have my knife back? " she said while pleading.

"Only if you don't attack me! "

"Sure! "I then gave her the knife wearily, she just casually took it and put it in her back pocket. She then said something I did not expect.

"Hey Izuku, could I have your phone number? " she asked. I turned as red as a tomato while pulling out my phone and exchanging numbers.

After that Toga left while smiling and waving at me. I then waved back and jogged back home. I had a goofy grin when I entered my house, I then went straight to my room to do extra research.
