Prologue

ARIA'S POV

Matapos kausapin ni Ynna si Barro nang maihatid ako ay napagdesisyunan niya na maglakad muna kami sa may park pero nakaupo na kami ngayon sa may bench na kung saan makikita mo ang palubog na araw habang may tumutugtug na istudyanteng babae sa likod namin ng biyolin. Sigh.

"Aria." Mahinang sambit ni Ynna sa pangalan ko habang nakatingin sa lumulubog na araw,

"Nagdadalang-tao ka sa anak ni Trevor." She said with sadness in her tone. Then, napatingin akong gulat sa kanya, napansin na niya siguro yung tanong ko. "Yan ang sabi ng Nurse nung tinakbo ka ni Barro sa clinic. Alam mo namang sa kanya at sa kanya pa rin siya susunod, kahit anong gawin mo, itataboy ka pa rin niya, Aria."

"Ynna, h-hindi ko alam," sagot ko sa kanya. I'm sorry, well, I can't help being bitter sa sitwasyon ko ngayon. I fell in love with someone I'm not supposed to but I didn't kept my promise. 

"Do you love him na?" seryosong tanong ni Ynna sa akin. I can't help myself but to cry. Yes, tears started to fall from my eyes. It hurts. Loving someone who's already in love with someone else is bitter, right?

"Ynna..." I cried for my best friend's name. I really needed someone to lean on, someone to cry on.

 "Ynna, mahal ko na talaga siya. Di ko alam ang ga-gawin ko," she hugged me, making me to lean on her shoulders as she patted my head. "Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko."

"Ssssh," pagtatahan ni Ynna sa akin, "It's love were talking about here, right Aria? And if it comes to love, there's always someone who's left behind. Someone as a sacrifice for someone's happiness. If you're that sacrifice, I can't do anything to change the fact," I know her words struck me to the heart. Her words hurt me but I just love her for this.

"All's left is to take care of his child, right?" ngumiti siya sa akin, "I'm sure, you'll move on."

That's right, I have his child. At least I can keep this as a remembrance from him, right? I can keep his child as my present for being the key to make the one he loves come back for him. 

I wish they can be both happy.
