Chapter 11

Clove's P.o.v.

My  team took me to the prep room.I swear I want to get out of here. It's sick. They keep waxing and putting some kind of creams  on me. I want to get out of this hell.

When I was finally ready, they said that I should eat before Leonard will come.I have a table full of food and drinks. I choose to eat some smashed potatoes, a steak and some soup. It's not much, but  it is good. I eat everything  and drink some water.

When Leonard finally shows up, he takes me to his office. It's amazing! It has a glass wall where you can see the Capitol from above .It's breathtaking. 

'Okay ,darling! Look what I have!!' Leo says and shows me a long black strapless dress and some big jewels. I have to admit, they look fantastic.

'I love it,Leo!' -I tried to sound excited.

 Then I had to put my dress on while Leo helped  me with the jewels. He did a wonderful job with everything. The dress was unexpected ...and my black complemented it. The makeup will be something simple I think. I never have liked this kind of stuff.

When I  finally look in the mirror, I see a beautiful young girl. It can't be me. I usually look  horrible. I go down in the hall and I see Cato with his stylist, Peacock. She did a good job on him. He's dressed in a dark  blue sparkly suit with shoes to match. Damn it,Clove! Stop it! Where did all of this words come from?  Sparkly? 

'You look great' he says.

'Thank you!' I say coldly.

'I have a plan!' he says not even caring about my attitude today. Weird. He always seems to be angry about it. Well....

'Tell me..I want to know' I say with a smile.

'Look...I will go in to Glimmer, of course after letting everybody admire me.' he laughs.

'Continue..'

'And I will tell her she's beautiful, but I don't think that, so you know. Then it's your turn.Y ou will enter the room, looking beautiful  like you always do..'

'Get to the point, Cato...'

'And kiss me. We can make out if you want' he says with a smile. I rise an eyebrow. 

'Just a kiss.I am only doing this so we can laugh of Glimmer.' I said.

'Yeah..Perfect then.'

After, he walks inside and I follow him. I see Glimmer in a long gold dress smiling at Cato. He probably told her the big lie. I look at Marvel and he is in a weird looking suit. I get to Cato and kiss him softly.

'Hi, babe!' he says. I see Glimmer is pissed. Leonard arrives and repaints  my lips, telling me not to kiss Cato until the interview. Not that I wanted to do that any time soon. We take our places in the chairs around the stage and wait.

The interviews have just started and Glimmer is first .An interview takes just 3 minutes. She acts flirty with Ceasar. I don't like her at all, she seems fake. Then it's Marvel's turn. After is my time to shine.

'Welcome, Clove!' Caesar says as the audience starts screaming. I love this. I think I look stunning surprisingly.

'Hi,Caesar. Nice to see you!'

'So, Clove...You are a really beautiful young woman. You look amazing tonight. Do you have  a special somebody back home?'

'I have not.'

'I can tell that is impossible.' he  say and everybody starts laughing.

'You scored of ten? How did you get it?'
