chapter 10

Alana P.O.V

"Okay time to stop and rest guys. Set up your tents everyone had the same partner from the old place" I said to everyone. Everyone then spread out and started to set up their tents.

When I was about to set my tent up, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see Lillian.

"Hey, what's up?" I say, giving her a weak smile.

"Aj, you know you don't have to act tough around any of us, right?" She says to me, rubbing back making me relax a little.

"I'm not acting tough..." I say to her but even I know that was not convincing.

"...you know what let go somewhere and talk." she says and grabbing my hand and intertwining are fingers and starts to drag me away from the others

After a couple of minutes of sustained silence, we managed to stumble upon a waterfall flowing into a river.

"Let's go dip our feet in the water and talk." she says in more of a command then a question. Lillian grasps my wrist and brings me toward the edge of the river. The two of us sit down and let our feet slip into the  lukewarm water.

"Um...what do you wanna talk about?" I asked her, shyness slipping into my voice.

"You. How are you for real Alana? Don't lie to me." she demands, looking at me with a stern look.

"Okay, truthfully, I'm upset and pissed off..." I tell her looking away, focusing on the waterfall.

"That's understandable, seeing as the girl you have had a crush on since
8th grade and finally got to be your girlfriend was just taken away from you." she says to me, I furrow my eyebrows in response.  

"How did you know I had a crush on Diane since 8th grade? We haven't really talk to each other till now." I asked her curiously, I looked back at her to see her face start to turn red.

"I may or may not have been listening to your conversations with your friends...." she says smiling shyly at me

"Oh no that means you know..." I buried my face in my hands to hide my blush.

"That you have had a huge crush on me for a year and a half ?" she says to me

"Yes and I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable" I tell her looking up from my hands to see her smiling at me

"I'm not uncomfortable at all cause well...A\actually I probably shouldn't say because you already are going through something" she says looking away from me and at the waterfall

"Lill tell me please." I begged her using my own nickname for her

"Lill?" She says looking at me again with a twinkle in her beautiful ocean blue eyes

"Yeah my own nickname for you, I hope you don't mind" I say to her

"No I like it and okay I will tell you" she says smiling and looking down playing with the fingers in her lap

"Take your time" I tell her putting a hand on her shoulder

"Okay...well here it goes..." she grabbed my hand of her shoulder and held it looking into my brown eyes

"I have had crush on you since I first laid eyes on you on the first day of school in Algebra" she says to me looking are now intertwined fingers

"Really? But didn't you have Ben?" I asked her curiously

"Yeah but I heard how you treated your girlfriends. That's the way I've always wanted someone to treat me" she says to me with a look I couldn't quite read "...also may I say something that may or may not be offensive?" She asks me

"Yeah sure" I tell her smiling and blushing like a fool

"Those girls you dated were bitches especially the one what was her name Lay something no no it was Kayla I believes she was the bitchiest one of all...you deserve better then them Aj.." she tells me truthfully as she inched closer to me

"...I know but at the time I wasn't really thinking about what I wanted more then a distraction from...from having a crush on a straight girl...that I see is not that straight after all" I say to her as I also inched closer to her

"Well now you don't need to find any other girls or should I say bitches.." she says before drawing me into a passionate kiss

I let me hands wrap around her neck pulling her closer to me

After a couple of seconds, that felt like hours, we finally pulled away from the kiss to catch are breath

".,.mmm" I say opening my eyes and smiling at Lilian "I am definitely okay with that" I tell her truthfully

"Well then Alana Jackson will you be my girlfriend?" Lilian asked with a grin

"...hmm..let me think" I joked around and Lillian smiled pushing me "damn your abuse maybe I should say no" I joked again

"Ajjjj!" She whined and pouted

"Yes I will be your Girlfriend Lillian King" I say to her and peck he lips

"Yay!" She squealed and pulled me into a kiss this one filled with desire and need

A hour later

"I think we should get back to the others..." I say to her after a while of us kissing and telling stories

We headed back, holding hands, our fingers intertwined.

It just felt....right....
