Jace's POV

"SANDY GET IN HERE!" I yelled not even thinking of anything besides the fact that my Mia was gone.

"What is it, are you ok?"

"No. She's gone..." I went over and sat on the bed.

"Jace, what happened?" She sighed and came over and sat beside me.

"She was telling me about her past and then.. I asked her to marry me... I didn't mean to scare her! It's just what happens around here! We automatically want to be with our mates! I couldn't help it. I just want to be with her for the rest of our lives. But now she's gone, and I only feel fear, but it isn't mine..." I turned and looked at her.

"Jace you could have scared her... And leaving her after her telling you that, isn't the best idea..." She put her hand on my shoulder.

"I know, but I need to find her. I can't believe she would jump out the window...I mean what if she is hurt? Why can I feel what she's feeling already?"

"I don't know honey... But you need to find her."

There was all of a sudden a sharp pain in my ankle, I didn't touch it or anything or hurt it. I couldn't think of anything else in that moment; Mia is hurt.

"OW!" I let out a yell.

"Jace what's wrong?" Sandy crouched down to my ankle because I all of a sudden grabbed it. It feels like I just sprained it.

"It is Mia. She is hurt. I have to go." I started to get up and mind liked Michelle and one of the best trackers we have, Carl. He can track anyone by their scent, footprints, it's weird. Werewolves can smell but then it goes away after awhile, but not for Carl; it stays there for at least a week. Everyone has a power when they're 16, I just never got the chance to tell Mia that.

They were in there within a minute, Michelle wearing hardly any clothing and having serious bed head. Carl was up and dressed. He is almost always up with his mate because she is pregnant with their child that is due soon.

"My mate is missing. She is hurt and we need to go. Now. No questions. Carl. Start tracking for a mile, mind link us your coordinates ASAP we will teleport and then go from there. She needs help and fast. Sandy, I need you to have people ready incase there is rogues. Michelle will teleport back here and get them. Ok, go now Carl." I said in a tone that said 'don't argue'.

"Yes Jace." He bowed and then started to run out of the room.

"You will make a great Alpha one day Jace..." Sandy said coming off the bed and coming over to hug me.

"Thank you Sandy." I hugged her back tightly.

"UM HELLO? Why am I just standing here? I could be doing other things with my time." Michelle started to yell.

"Calm down. Your going to help. Go take a shower for a few minutes. Then come straight back here, that's an order." Sandy said to Michelle

"Ok, Fine!" She started dancing out of my room.

I soon started pacing, getting more nervous by the second. I wanted my mate back in my arms so I could know everything about her. I wanted to marry her and turn her into a wolf and have kids with her. Wait, would she want to be a wolf? Since she killed them? Does she hate them? Does she not like my wolf? Does she like kids? It then makes me think of her childhood. The Gods above, paired us so well because we can cope and be there with each other and love and trust one another.

'Jace, I'm a mile due North, she went this way and only her scent. No sign of her yet, do you want me to keep going?'

'Yes, let me know if you find anything'

I dismissed Carl's mind link and just realized that Sandy was still in the room. I walked over to the bed where she was sitting back down.

"Jace, what exactly did she tell you about her past?" Sandy said softly.

I took a deep breath remembering her looking so fragile. "She had a very horrible childhood. Her mom raised her pretty much. Her dad tried taking her and killing her and her family and it put up so many walks and broke her. She became this invincible person and I think that's why she started hunting... So she could defend herself. She just wants someone to love her. You can see it. And I want to be that someone... If she lets me..." I said and had to wipe tears from my eyes.

Sandy gave me a hug and said "You will get her back she probably just took a walk and got lost."

"I hope."

Michelle came into the room then with shorts and a sweatshirt on and her hair pulled up and actually looking decent, not like a disaster. She came over to sit beside me when Carl mind linked me.

'Jace, I have her scent, and another. It is rouge.'

I bolted out of my room and then changed into my massive wolf, off to save and retrieve my mate.
