"So... I guess I owe you an explanation," he finally said, but I don't look at him.

"Damn right you do."

"As you probably already knew, Bella and I dated."

"You don't say. It's not like she presented herself as your girlfriend," I scoffed and I hear him sigh.

"Please, listen to me."

"And how come you never mentioned her? I thought we didn't keep any secrets. I guess I was wrong," I continued, almost ignoring him.

"Kayla, let me talk. How do you want me to tell you the truth when you don't even let me speak?" he asked me frustrated and I looked at him for a second, only to roll my eyes.

"Fine."

"So, as I was saying before you interrupted me, Bella and I dated. But only for a week. I thought she was really nice, but it turns out she was crazy. I mean, legit crazy. She wanted to know everything I do, and everyone I talk to, especially girls. Especially you. She became... obsessed with me. She was not the same person I knew for over a year. Before we came back to New Jersey, I told her everything was over, but she wouldn't listen to me. She kept saying, for all these months, that we were still dating. She was lying to everyone that we still talk every day over the phone. Which is not true. Anyway, she saw me tonight and she literally jumped on me. I tried to push her away and tell her she can't do that, but then you came and she became super crazy again. She is not my girlfriend, Kayla. I don't like her. I like you. Fuck like, I love you. And you are the only girl I've ever loved this much. I would never, ever cheat on you."

I listened to him silently, looking at the fire. I didn't know what to say. Is it true? Should I believe him? Would he lie about this?

"So everything is over? Between you and her?" I raised my eyebrows, looking at him. A little smirk forms in the corner of his mouth.

"Yes. It was over four months ago. I promise."

"I guess it's alright then." I smiled, and his face brightened instantly.

He moves closer to me, wrapping his arms around me, smashing his lips on mine. His breath smells like peppermint, and his lips are soft.

"Now, let's go party. It's the last night of the year and we're in LA, at a beach house party!" he said excitedly, getting up. He grabs my hand, dragging me after him back to the crowd of people.

At first, I didn't feel like dancing, but he literally moved my body, until I finally gave up and started jumping around. A few songs later, I was exhausted.

"Can you bring me a cup of water, please?" I asked him, smiling.

"Ugh, fine," he sighed, making me chuckle.

"Thank you!" I kiss his cheek, then let him walk away.

I lay on the wall, taking out my phone. I view a few stories on Snapchat, seeing how many people from my high school were having fun.

Suddenly, Jack Gilinsky's story pops on my screen and I see a familiar background. Wait... that is here. It's the living room. Jack Gilinsky is here. And Jack Johnson. And Madison Beer probably. Oh my God! No way!

By the way, I've been a fan of their's for almost a year. I love their music, and their vines. They're hilarious.

"Here you go." I heard Grayson, lifting my head. I grab the cup, thanking him.

"Quick question. Do you know Jack & Jack? Like, personally," I asked him.

"Yeah, why?"

"Wait, seriously?" I almost yelled, not believing. I was just joking.
